Fluoxetine NCAAM Rankings (2019-2020 Season)

I always get a good laugh out of fluoxetine’s rankings. Last week he had Duke ranked #17 and this week has Duke ranked #6 and he’ll probably have Duke unranked next week even if they win both games this week. lol

He gets a good laugh from these comments.

Again....it’s a computer. Do you really think that there’s a human being that would arrive at these results?

I don’t think I jinxed us. We just played like complete garbage in the second half and SFA played really good. As for fluoxetine’s rankings, he’ll probably have us out of the top 25 in next week’s rankings. lol

Charlie Moore killing it, eh?

Knew the potential to score was there, even though he consistently shot poorly last year. The assist numbers are pretty shocking, though.

he's been nothing short of amazing for us. He also had 5 steals vs Minnesota the other day.

I think he's the kind of guy who needs the keys to the car in order to be confident and reach his potential. Obviously at Kansas he wasn't good enough to be given the reigns to the entire offense, especially with Dotson there. But, at DePaul he was given the starting PG job pretty much from day 1 and it has boosted his confidence which has resulted in him playing like an all conference lead guard.

Moore had a big green light at cal and struggled. It’s good that he now has bigs around him to help him create better shots but I also expect a bit of regression in efficiency

I wouldn't put too much stock in what he did 3 years ago as a freshman as a barometer for how he will do now as a junior. Guys get better with age.

Looks pretty solid. I like Gonzaga as a program, but they are not the #1 team. #10 sounds about right. They're good; they can still make the Final Four. Just think they're a bit overrated at this point. Guard play isn't quite at the level that it normally is. I think they'll lose 2-3 games in the WCC this year.

Virginia isn't ranked. I'm okay with that. Ceiling seems relatively low for them. I think the really only noticeable omission is Kentucky. Guessing the computer models are really killing them for the Evansville loss. It will take some time to compensate for that.

It really does look pretty solid, although Kentucky should probably be in there somewhere.

I'd probably switch Duke and KU at the moment. KU still has a turnover problem and struggles to score at times.

I think we're a back end of the top 25 team right now. I won't quibble over being unranked but I doubt you could name 25 teams that you would take over us on a neutral court. Defense is elite. Offense is mediocre but is getting better. We're still 3-0 in the ACC and I don't see 4 definitively better teams in the ACC than us right now. I'd put Duke and FSU above us for sure. Louisville is probably better but we own them and I think they have some chemistry issues that could get exposed playing a tough defense. I think getting a double bye after losing 4 starters would be a damn good accomplishment though.

You guys are still clearly in the tournament. And could very easily get a double bye in the ACCT. I expect you guys to be contenders next year. Love UVA's defense. Just can't get past the fact that you only have 4 guards, and none of them are shooting north of 40%.

As far as 25 teams that I'd take on a neutral court? Idk. I mean, UVA can beat anyone because we might only see 60 possessions in a game. If I were ranking teams that I'd feel most comfortable with in one neutral court game, I might go with this:

1. Kansas
2. Duke
3. Michigan State
4. Maryland
5. Butler
6. Baylor
7. Oregon
8. Auburn
9. San Diego State
10. Gonzaga
11. Dayton
12. Florida State
13. Ohio State
14. Texas Tech
15. Kentucky
16. Michigan (with Livers)
17. Wichita State
18. Louisville
19. Seton Hall
20. Colorado
21. Penn State
22. Arizona
23. Villanova
24. Houston
25. Wisconsin

Probably not a huge difference between team #20 and team #35. Virginia could sneak into the top 25, sure. Here are 10 additional schools that I didn't include. I'd say they might go 5-5 against the other 10 schools listed below.

Virginia
Iowa
Saint Mary's
LSU
Florida
Washington
Xavier
Purdue
BYU
Creighton
Memphis

Duke is in its own tier right now imo and there's no way you can put KU above us.

The rest of the top 15 is pretty interchangeable though and I agree that the cutoff is probably at UK.

You needed 14 more possessions to score 2 more points, on a night in which KU didn't have its best shooter. I'd say you can make an argument for KU above Duke.

Don’t really see what’s so great about Duke. They got the large child and Tre Jones but the rest of the roster doesn’t look that great. Haven’t really watched them but you don’t get your own tier when you lose to SF Austin on your home court.

I wasn't making my rankings based on merit. My rankings are based on who I would feel most comfortable in one neutral court game. Michigan State, on merit, does not deserve to be #3. Gonzaga, on merit, would not be as low as #10.

Duke has 4 players that are averaging double figures this season and has 10 players that have contributed this season.

Well that’s good I guess but a lot of teams can probably say that. I know they’re good but don’t see why they’re clearly the best team in the country.

Kind of like how I don’t see how you ridiculous Auburn fans think that Auburn is the best team this season just because you’re undefeated because ya’ll haven’t really played anyone yet.

Well thank you for bringing up Auburn as we actually have 5 players avg double figures. But if you don’t want to tell me more about Duke that’s fine.
