Dammit shoulda kept my mouth shut. I still see us in the 20s somewhere. Preferably just outside the 25 😇

Florida's non conference schedule is weak. One ranked team, Baylor. Here is what I see as a weak schedule:Only annoying thing is not being in the "top25" when checking espn scores/schedule lmao.
You're forgetting we gave Auburn their worst loss of the year.Florida's non conference schedule is weak. One ranked team, Baylor. Here is what I see as a weak schedule:
Loyola MD a win “NOT RATED”
Virginia a loss “NOT RATED”
Florida A&M a win “NOT RATED”
Florida State a win “NOT RATED”
Pitt a win “NOT RATED”
Baylor a loss (was ranked #13 then, now #11)
Wake Forest a loss “NOT RATED”
Merrimack a win “NOT RATED”
Richmond a win “NOT RATED”
East Carolina a win “NOT RATED”
Michigan a win “NOT RATED”
Grambling a win “NOT RATED”
Quinnipiac a win “NOT RATED”
In the SEC Florida has lost 4 games. 2 to ranked teams and 2 to unranked teams. One big win over Kentucky and the other wins are over unranked teams.
I am not involved in polls but a very weak preconference schedule does not result in high rankings mid way in conference play.
.
Sorry 954gator, I really enjoy your posts, but I was trying to put some sunshine on why Florida was not getting more rating attention. You're forgetting we gave Auburn their worst loss of the year.
Yeah we squandered some good opportunities with close losses early on. Doesn't help FSU and Michigan are having such bad seasons. Early on the ooc looked much better than it ended up being. Michigan, Baylor, FSU, Pitt, Virginia, Wake etc. Definitely hurt we lost a few that could have went our way for sure. Baylor was the only game where I said ok they just played really great. Virginia and Wake we shoulda beat IMO. Hurt not having some of our players early on.Sorry 954gator, I really enjoy your posts, but I was trying to put some sunshine on why Florida was not getting more rating attention.
Florida did beat Auburn at Florida by 6 more points than Kentucky beat Auburn at Auburn.

Yeah, thats a good team.
No it doesnt. Basketball seasons are fluid and ever evolving thing. Just because Kansas was hovering around top 10 3 months ago, doesnt mean for the season they are 15th. They spent the last 3 weeks week at about 78th. If you want it for the season you have to average the good and the bad.Ranking is for the entire season. Hope that helps.

Ok, well tell that to the committee who seeded Kansas 14th, or to Kenpom which has Kansas #22, or to Bart Torvik who has Kansas #16, or to Kenneth Massey who has Kansas #13, or to whoever designed the NET which has Kansas #19, or to any of the designers of these computer ratings (https://masseyratings.com/ranks?s=cb) who collectively have Kansas #16.No it doesnt. Its all wrong man. Dayton finished 23rd. Michigan State with their 15 LOSSES got in,Net 24. Boise State with a super high Massey. Lol its a freaking joke. These idiots have completely re invented the wheel and its a square now.Ok, well tell that to the committee who seeded Kansas 14th, or to Kenpom which has Kansas #22, or to Bart Torvik who has Kansas #16, or to Kenneth Massey who has Kansas #13, or to whoever designed the NET which has Kansas #19, or to any of the designers of these computer ratings (https://masseyratings.com/ranks?s=cb) who collectively have Kansas #16.

Ken Pom and the NET are the most idiotic thing ive ever seen in sports.Well done. Honestly, I think your ratings are better than Kenpom this year.
Ken Pom and the NET are the most idiotic thing ive ever seen in sports.
Coaching LEGEND, agrees;
"“I think we all should probably never mention that word [NET] again because it’s fraudulent,” Pitino said. “I think the NET is something that shouldn’t even be mentioned anymore. I think we had a good strength of schedule [in] KenPom [rankings]. Why mention him? We tried to play a tough schedule, we tried to do things the right way, and we didn’t get in. But I never make excuses.”"
Well I've got great news for you buddy. Virtually all the opening lines in sportsbooks are set using models like these. If you know better, you should be able to make a shitload of money. Its all wrong man. Dayton finished 23rd. Michigan State with their 15 LOSSES got in,Net 24. Boise State with a super high Massey. Lol its a freaking joke. These idiots have completely re invented the wheel and its a square now.
Ive always hated the idea of march madness expansion, but at this point they are leaving such better teams out and letting such worse teams in its necessary.
Not that what a coach thinks about a ranking (especially regarding his own team lol) means anything, but you are also confused about why he's mad lol. The NET says his team is good.. #32.. easily good enough to be in the tournament and yet they've been left out. He's mad at the humans, not the computer.Ken Pom and the NET are the most idiotic thing ive ever seen in sports.
