Love that we get a rubber match again this year. Personally hoping that UNC is worn out from their games the past two nights and that Duke can stay on a roll after last night. Should be another classic.

Cannot believe my fiance had the audacity to be born on March 9, subsequently forcing me into dinner reservations and drinks with friends tonight to celebrate. I guess I'll be watching this one on the DVR whenever we get home. I don't like my odds of being able to avoid all coverage of the game until I get a chance to fire up the recording.

I believe the key word here is "fiance". Which means there's still time for you, Mark.

Thankfully, I was born on March 9. Then, I doubled down and had my first son on March 9. "Sorry, honey, March is ours."

Mine is in February, right around the first Duke-UNC matchup each year. Always a nice excuse to get a little extra out of control for that game.

Also, happy birthday!

Also got wrangled into dinner plans tonight, but made sure they were early enough to be home by 9.

Duke managed to beat UNC last year in their third game of the tournament, I'm not going to rely on UNC players being tired. I mean they're 18-22 year old kids that condition themselves and play ball year round, 3 games in 3 days shouldn't kill them.

Yeah I've never really bought into that whole line of thinking. This really isn't that big of a deal for Elite 18-22 year old athletes, and the ACC officiating not withstanding, basketball is not a physically punishing sport.

Not to mention, unc didn't have to use that much energy vs Syracuse and they took the first ten minutes of last night's game off. And Roy plays a lot of players. So being tired shouldn't be a problem for them.

LOL

It's pretty crazy that this seems like almost the complete opposite of our semifinal meeting last season. While I do not want to lose tonight, I am hoping that Duke's trajectory for the rest of the season aligns with what UNC did in March last year.

Roy doesn't really play a ton of guys a lot of minutes this year but I don't think fatigue is a big deal either. Berry and Cam being sore after getting a little hurt is a much greater concern but both may be perfectly fine today as well. Regardless, that is all part of it. It is UNC's fault they have had to play two games already.

I like UNC in this one, but wont be surprised if Duke wins.

I think both are FF potential easy. Duke probably is one of the top favorites to win it all.

HBD guys.
Looking forward to this, but somehow the ACC T games aren't as intriguing to me as those played in CH and Durham, at least when both are tourney locks. Still, the match up is always great....I'm just glad I'm on the west coast and can watch it at 6, rather than 9.
Far more concerned about Oregon, who will need to beat USC and AZ(probably) to even get in this year.

Yeah, they don't mean nearly as much to me as the two regular season matchups. I mean, I want them to win but am honestly more excited about Selection Sunday tbh.

I was lucky enough to join my 92 yo Dad in CH again this year. What a great time. Idk how many of those he has left in him. Season tickets since the Days of Woolen Gym and the 1957 Natty. Oh the blood wevre seen over the years.

Interesting. I love the neutral court matchups. Electric neutral atmospheres are hard to beat imo

I just hope someone in this thread will remind me every time they feel a call goes Duke's way tonight. I have a feeling it will be tough to find someone willing to do that though.

You already feel guilty about the calls you’re about to receive?

I think we have a better shot in the championship vs. UNC but think we learn more about ourselves by playing Duke.

Only when girls see it soft! Sorry but if that didn’t embarrass him he’s a bigger goober than he puts on. That would embarrass anyone!

Pinson called for a foul for getting pushed in the back then making a clean block.
