Blackshear withdrawing from NBA draft

Read that he's narrowed his choices down to Tennessee and Kentucky, yet he's still planning to visit A&M and may schedule a visit with Juwan Howard.

Makes sense.

He has a family connection to Howard I think right? Would explain the interest. If he wants to get to the league I don't get going back to Buzz and A&M. I still think it's UK/UF but we'll see I guess.

You probably said the same thing about UVA a year ago
Maybe he was but most Kentucky fans think much more of Virginia than Tennessee. You guys have at least had reasons for people to believe in you between talent and regular season performance. Tennessee is good for a choke every season they’re relevant, which is not a lot

No he said that the year before when UVA was the first number 1 seeded team to lose to a 16 seed.

So, if a team with the biggest choke in postseason history can go on and win it all and do it the following year, you don't think UT can?

No.

Well, I mean it's possible, but would anyone , even UT fans, put money on it?

Also, UVA has a better coach and the 16-1 game was a fluke.

he didn't commit to UK on his visit.
He really couldn't though. He was going to aTm regardless. He can't commit to UK, then go to visit Buzz out in College Station.

I'm thinking he and Buzz are pretty close and Buzz asked him to "Just do me a favor and come out to see what we're doing".

I think it's down to UK/UF/UT and UK has the inside track… ..

And are riding a horse named Secretariat… ..

In 1973… ..

At the Belmont Stakes…… .

On June 9th

They're pretty done after winning 2out 3 against UK. If you don't buy this or think I'm being conceited just ask @della. She'll straight up tell you their biggest accomplishments the last two years.
You need to get use to UT kicking UK's ass, Lurker. That way if y'all manage to win one out of the series, it will be a pleasant surprise and thus, you can be happy occasionally.

Who cares about Tennessee’s history? Barnes clearly has them trending up and they were extremely unlucky in the tourney this year.

They just lost basically everyone off their most talented roster ever. Barnes is a good regular season coach and they aren't going to suck but I think they take a big step back this year.

I think that report is nothing but bologna. If I recall, it’s coming from Gene Hensley or something like that. Never heard of that name EVER before.

I’d follow Jake/ED/Slater/etc.

If it was really down to those 2 schools, it’d make 0 sense to take anymore visits.

I don't know that I could ever call a 20 point beatdown a fluke.

What would you call the Duke-UK beatdown then?

Don’t care if it’s a fluke or not. They won the game that day and that’s all that matters. I doubt you’d bet on UMBC if the teams played again though. It all worked out for the best from my perspective

I would call it a beatdown. I was there to witness it.

In the first game of the season, yes. Maybe not to that extent, but I would expect another beatdown.

Fair enough. I don’t expect that UVA would lose to UMBC again. Obviously it’s possible but my money would go on UVA. But if that loss helped us win it all this year, then I’ll take that loss over and over again

I agree with @HRTheCard. That may have been the only time they would've won out of a 10 game series, but that one game certainly wasn't a fluke. Just saying it wasn't dumb luck, it was total domination.
