No, that's an assumption.we know that the Anthony Davises were paid handsomely.

It is well documented that Zion and his family were asking for money. I guess going to Duke is worth much more than money.I'm not trying to perpetuate false claims. I thought I remembered it being from an investigation. But that wouldn't have made sense because they were investigating Adidas.
Either way, it amusing that we just assume Duke is guilty based on them out recruiting Kentucky in the time period that Duke adopted the OAD strategy. That's really the only thing you guys are going by.
Try and stay on topic here. I was not denying anything involving Zion. I was questioning the people who think that Nike paying players was exclusive to Duke players and that Kentucky hasn't been getting the best recruits because Nike is pushing them to Duke.It is well documented that Zion and his family were asking for money. Conjecture
And...
Kentucky literally recruited Zion very hard
Yes they did but they refused to pay him and his family like Duke.Kentucky literally recruited Zion very hard
I think cal's pitch of "I get 90% of my recruits to the NBA" (which is true) still works for some elite kids. You'd have to be an idiot to think kentucky is paying players yet has only gotten ONE top 5 kid since 2014. If UK is paying players there is literally 0 reason to go to any school besides UK.Are you arguing that Cal is the one person in the sport who is ignorant to how the shoe game works?
Or are you saying that he expected a “come play in Lexington for free” pitch to work?Laughing
There's always the theory that the kid just loved Orange Julius's and Auntie Anne's pretzels...Are you arguing that Cal is the one person in the sport who is ignorant to how the shoe game works?

The Adidas consultant? Not sure how he'd have the scoop on Nike schools, but regardless, let's see the ledger, if it exists. Porn lawyer is sitting on all sorts of documentation and sharing very specific details.Gassnola’s on record saying that Nike steers players to Kentucky (and UNC and Duke), and there were strong rumors at the time about Davis and 200k.
Gotta admit...it would be more shocking to find out he didn’t collect.
Nope, not one single time have I claimed UK doesn't cheat, or hasn't cheated. I just think it's best to wait for something to surface before making assumptions. Are you arguing that Cal is the one person in the sport who is ignorant to how the shoe game works?

Actually, we kind of know for a fact that he is...at least according to the people who are the dirty ones paying these guys.

Be davis, wall, Bledsoe, Booker, towns, cousins, Murray, lyles, fox, wcs, Knox, sga
Or
Be irving and bagley...?
Where would the debate come in?
Just admit it. UK was kicking everyone's ass in recruiting from 09-13 and nobody could stand it so they started paying players.

Nice strawman, btw.

There is no way that that you can know for certain. The problem with North Carolina is that when you offer fake majors to keep kids eligible, it certainly stands to reason that you would also pay basketball players. You sort of lose all credibility when you did the former. Roy’s struggles to land the elite HS kids do not exonerate him. LSU showed us that it isn’t simply one and done all Americans that are getting paid.
Interesting how your recruiting trailed off after losing your runner WWW.I think cal's pitch of "I get 90% of my recruits to the NBA" (which is true) still works for some elite kids. When you go to Honda to buy a car, does the Nissan dealer next door know about your negotiations with Honda? Why wouldn’t they know what the competition is offering?
What we do know is that Kansas players have been paid. See Billy Preston and DeSousa. You can listen to the FBI tapes when you get a chance. We also know Bill Self is on tape talking to a convicted felon representing Adidas asking to get some good players. Those are things we all know. And why exactly do you assume that UNC is not involved? Because they have only a few OADs this year?
Where did WWW go? He still attends UK games. What are you talking about?Interesting how your recruiting trailed off after losing your runner WWW.
He went to Duke. Haven't you noticed?Interesting how your recruiting trailed off after losing your runner WWW.

Avenatti is a piece of shit and that was my point.Of course coach K would tell the truth. He is a saint. You might even want to go to him for confession.
If we're all being realistic, any top program is playing the game to compete. You think Adidas was competing against themselves? Or Nike? Or Under Armor? They want to steer kids to their sponsored universities so they can sign them when they go pro. If Kansas, Duke, UNC, Kentucky, etc. doesn't play the game they won't get the best talent. The program suffers, coaches get fired, and revenue dries up. This has been going on since John Wooden was at UCLA. The only difference is its shifted from boosters to shoe companies.Try and stay on topic here. I was not denying anything involving Zion. I was questioning the people who think that Nike paying players was exclusive to Duke players and that Kentucky hasn't been getting the best recruits because Nike is pushing them to Duke.
Who says we lost him? You have no idea what you're talking about. He was behind the bench during our NCAAT games.I get trying to talk shit, but don't come with nonsense.Interesting how your recruiting trailed off after losing your runner WWW.
He is always around, who is the dumbass saying differentWho says we lost him? You have no idea what you're talking about. He was behind the bench during our NCAAT games.I get trying to talk shit, but don't come with nonsense.
Shame.
He may be but that doesn't mean he doesn't have the goods on Zion.Avenatti is a piece of shit and that was my point.

This dudes gonna end up at the bottom of a river.....
They are probably trying to. Duke just happens to be the hotter name for them right now. These things go in cycles. You guys surely didn’t believe after 2015 that you’d get 2-3 top 5 players every year until the end of time, did you?
Lol he does dabble in itThis may come as a surprise, but I don’t fault anyone in this situation. I don’t care about quid pro quo’s and I wish Roy would dabble in it.
Of course they did....cal told them all that they're the gold standard of college basketball! They are probably trying to. Duke just happens to be the hotter name for them right now.
