ACC Tournament thread

This is a pretty impressive response by UVA after the lead was cut to 4.

Didnt watch the 2nd half. Had an exam that I absolutely destroyed because Im sicker than a dog. I cant believe we cut it to 4 and managed to lose by 17. Or can I.

None of the other players really said anything out of the ordinary, just journalists shoving mics in 20 years olds faces, hoping they say something asinine. Didn’t really seem like trash talk to me.

Fair enough. Padgett seemed really upset at the end and didn't even look Bennett in the eye. Don't press us with 30 seconds left down double digits if you're gonna be pissed that we convert it into a score.

Didn't see it but most teams press until halfcourt then the other team usually dribbles out...

Is BC going to make it to the semifinals?

Wouldn't be terribly surprising. Clemson has struggled lately - they're starting to feel the effects of missing Grantham it seems. Whoever wins here is almost certainly going to lose to UVA in the Semifinals, though.

Padgett acted like a little kid towards the end, with the blow by. Wasn’t professional at all, and solidifies to me we desperately need a better, more mature coach.

Btw, Syracuse has the better class for next season and will be ranked higher than ND preseason. Cuse is expected to be top 25. Cuse still has a better resume this season than ND does, for that matter.

Congrats on staying alive in the ACCT against middle of the road VT. It's unfortunate for SU that they had to play the 3rd best team in the conference as a 6 seed.

Good luck against Duke.
Ummm they don’t have the better class. ND has the #8 class. Syracuse #16.

Best thing about ND is they don’t recruit 1 and dones. They recruit guys that stay 3-4 years. Not guys like Jermi Grant, Tyler Lydon, Fab Melo who leave after 1-2 years and do nothing in the NBA.

ND is bringing in 4 4 star recruits

1 is the Gatorade player of the year in Pennsylvania (Carmody)

Another is Gatorade player of the year in Ohio (Goodwin)

Plus they have Nate Lazewiski who is 6-10 and can drain threes.

Throw in 6-11 transfer from Ucon Durham.

Mesh that with Gibbs, Rex, Mooney, Nikola, and Burns. This is going to be a good team for quite awhile.

Besides you are arguing with the wrong person. I grew up in Update New York with my father ND under grad/Syracuse law school and mother who went to school at Syracuse. Cuse is my second favorite team. That has given me the perspective to understand accurately where both programs stand. From my point of view ND is on the upswing where Syracuse is trending down. Really hope Cuse gets it together tho as I have to say I really loved having ND get to the elite 8 the same year Cuse made the final 4. It was truly the best March madness tournament I have watched (well at least it’s right up there with the year Cuse won the national championship).

We just got fouled on 3 different occasions on that last possession.

Better class, not better ranked class. ND is only ranked higher because of class size. Sorry, but a top 10 recruit is significantly better than a couple 4 star recruits in the 70's. Our second best recruit is better than your best.

ND just finished its worst season in 4 years, or something like that, and ND hasn't been dealing with NCAA sanctions like SU. As a fan, you're more than entitled to view your team in a favorable light, but to say ND is trending up and Cuse down is a bold statement, given the evidence.

SU is done with the sanctions, finally returning a full roster for the first time in forever, and bringing in talented scorers. Sounds upswingy to me.
