It's pretty awful that a state made legislation that treats transgender people as they want to be treated for real. They certainly don't deserve that and should be obstracized as much possible.

Okay. I’m all for trans people being whoever the fvck they wanna be (as I’m sure Jimbo is). And, I agree w @JimboBBN that it’s no surprise/unfair for born boys to compete w and beat girls. I’d go as far as to call it bush league, no pun intended. Is that wrong somehow? If so, I don’t get it. And I’m not trying to oppress anyone or be insensitive. Just being honest.

Nope. Just pointing out that it's ignorant to insist somebody is a guy because they claim to be a female and weren't born one. And again, it's likely the law in CT will change. To their credit they didn't cave to stereotype when they made the law and are trying to make lives better. Arguably the law failed. So they'll change it. And that's the difference between being a liberal and a conservative. Change isn't evil. Failure is learning.
You'll argue that "you're either a female or male" and that it's cut and dry.
A few problems with that.
1) it's not true. People are born with mutations and it's not always cut and dry. That probably makes you uncomfortable but it's reality.
2) Those who genuinely feel and act like a different gender who go as far as altering their sex have real issues. What good is it serving make their lives worse? It says more about you than them.

I think you're confusing @JimboBBN's interpretation of the argument with what the argument is. It's certainly easy to just declare that a male is male and female is female but that doesn't reflect reality and isn't solving the problem. Simple as that.
Maybe you just don't realize this is ignorant and that's the problem. But I grew up with a friend who changed sexes. There isn't anything funny about it and their life was hell until they transitioned. But if you talked to this person and intentionally go out of your way to insist they are male you're just an asshole. Simple as that. And I'm over people justifying shit because they see it on the internet.

I like this law because it helps keep women down by reminding them that men are still better than them at anything they want to be.
I would like this if I wasn't ranting. But I'm not going to since I am.
I'm pretty liberal. I don't care much at all whether people want to change their gender or whatever. I strongly believe when it comes to sports you should compete against whatever you were when you were born (assuming one wasn't hermaphroditic). That probably makes liberals and conservatives hate me, which I'm ok with. Liberals and conservatives both suck.

I demand respect. I demand to be heard. I demand moderator privileges to finally be recognized as my true gender.
My gender identity is also a spiritual pillar. Therefore, I'm doubly protected. See what I just did there? I tied 'gender rights' to 'religious freedom', so any white Christian male better think twice before denying me my recognition as a 'moderator fluid spirit' and all the accommodations that entails. That's a slippery slope that will just lead to religious persecution.
My attorney and I are awaiting Rivals' response and expect accommodations to be provided for, even to the detriment of the freedoms of others.

And when it comes to sporting events, getting a “genuine” result often means more than making someone feel good.
B) Agree with BKing that the law came from a good place, and am hoping it gets addressed. Tricky thing to address while simultaneously a) making sure the sports results stay valid and b) taking care of trans people. In the end, sports are pretty meaningless compared to the larger issues in life.
C) Yes, a number of people probably would love this thread to just become a thread bashing liberals and trans people. Those people are douchebags.

If I'm being completely honest, Andraya Yearwood has terrible form. A lot of wasted motion. Elite runners can't have that much wasted motion in such a short race... If Andraya has androgynous features, then no bid deal. I'd let that slide.
