How was Michigan ranked #10? They’re terrible. They’ll be lucky to be over .500 in the Big 10. they have “early December bowl game” written all over them.
Yeah, Michigan will quickly regress back into the doldrums of obscurity. Notre Dame is criminally overrated every year as well. Losing to NIU as a 29 pt favorite....LOL.

Back before the playoff games being "criminally overrated" made a big difference. I never remember a season that I thought Notre Dame should have won the title.
They may have been great a long time ago but not in my 65 years of watching college football.

Compare that to Georgia, at the time of the game, played #14 Clemson; #4 Alabama; #1 Texas, #16 Ole Miss and #7 Tennessee.
Georgia and Oregon both have 3 ranked wins. The difference is Oregon has zero losses and Georgia has two.
Time of game rankings are stupid as well. Alabama isn’t the 4th best team, that’s clear now.
