Holy fvck this potato is trying to allude a guy who has been in the sport of basketball his entire life is racist.
Who said he was a racist?
But negative recruiting sucks
But the guy has baggage from the NBA for some of his statements.
Half his teams at Michigan were white.
I'm not sure a coach would have a better chance of winning a NC at Texas than Tech. Maybe a better chance of making the tournament and losing early or something but don't understand the thinking you could win a title there more than at TT.
Glad to see you understand the definition of allude
Texas has the fifth most first round picks since 2010 with only two NCAA Tournament wins
If they can recruit like that without winning just imagine if they do.
What? If they do what? Win? Imagine if Texas Tech or anyone else wins. I'm not ever sure what you are trying to say.
Pretty clear...
Texas can recruit to a higher level than Tx Tech.
Much stronger brand in a much better city.
This is reason for the high # of draft picks even without winning.
Or one could say you can't even win it all at Texas with more talent so what would be the motivation to jump on that action.
Texas gives him a better chance at winning a NC.
Texas is his home. He came from the basketball program. The difference between Texas and some other schools is that they have maintained a family regardless of coach.
End of the day we will know on the first what happens.
Great coach...
But not everyone is striving to finish second.
Defense wins....
Beilein was at his best when he brought in Luke Yaklich to coordinate the defense.
Enjoy the offensive sets. Great coach.
But the guy has baggage from the NBA for some of his statements.

Different coaches....
Beilein national championship runner-ups at Michigan: 2
Shaka Smart ncaa tournament wins at Texas: 0
Everything you posted is your opinion, idiot.Nothing I said is my own opinion.
I like Beilein. He will be a hard sell to some of the people in the program.
Maybe Texas shouldn't allow former players to speak their mind. Who knows?
A lot of those players with the Cavs last year didn't like him at all.
Have to get it right eventually I guess. Texas has made one FF since 1947. I don't think it is just the coach is all I'm saying. Texas is a fantastic school and has some advantages over some other places for sure though. My golfing buddy graduated from there so I lowkey pull for them.

John Beilein > Shaka Smart and you told us for 5 years how great Shaka is.
Congrats...
Nothing personal but Beilein isn't favored by some people around the program.

Beggers can't be choosy. Your program isn't all and if you think good coaches are knocking down your door to get the job, you need to wake up.
Poor Michigan...
When he got out of his LOI I knew Howard wasn't going to do much there
Like Juwan Howard can't coach...
Why the hell did he let Jalen Wilson get out of his LOI
Michigan is back in that hole so don't know what you are crowing about.
Juwan Howard 🤣😂🤣😂😂
Still haven't answered how he let Jalen Wilson walk
Real Michigan fans know.
Because before Beilein arrived you sucked for about 15 years.
Good chance you go back in that hole
We will see if Juwan Howard proves me wrong.
They have had an easy schedule.
Even their first two B1G games were against bottom feeders.
I see another bubble season/NIT team
Once again how the hell did he let Jalen Wilson walk.
Top 5 my ass. You haven't done anything to be top 5, top 50 maybe.
How the hell did he let Jalen Wilson walkSpeaking of horrendously bad takes... check this out from the guy who loves Shaka
History doesn't mean anything when it comes to jobs...
About resources
RollLaugh RollLaughTop 5 job in the country.
If you add everything up. What makes it even better is that there isn't any job near the level that has less history.
So it could actually be the best job because you can become a legend at Texas.
You don't have to compete with a Coach K, Rupp or Dean Smith

Who is a better coach?
Mark Few or John Beilein
Regular season I think most would say Few.
NCAA Tournament Beilein has been as good as anyone recently before he left the game

Coaches are egotistical pricks
They want to be a legend.
Shaka didn't have it. Job was too big for him.
Next man up.
Who really wants their name to be in the history books.
Texas is the #1 job without history
But it has the resources to dominate college basketball...
A lot of schools do. It is Game on.
Didn't you argue on here about history of the entire athletic program once or football team or something like that?
Now we've come to the root of the problem. Not even close to top 5.Top 5 job in the country.
Every coach this AD has fired has been replaced within 48 hours.
Usually they have something in place before moving on.
Guess it comes down to Royal Ivey vs John Beilein if Chris Beard stays in Lubbock.
A lot of former basketball players want Ivey but he lacks head coaching experience.
People are questioning Beilein's teams. Had great teams at Michigan but nothing that blew you away.
