Trump

People aren’t excited about being able to buy homes again and afford to feed their families? Seems like something we should all be happy about?

Considering Donnie has no idea how to make either of those things happen, I don’t see a reason to be happy.

Words are fun, though, and Don likes saying words.

My issue with statements like this, is that even once it’s proven wrong, nobody will own it.

Libs are acting shell-shocked like they don't know wtf just happened. Obviously they've moved waaaay too far left (as the votes obviously show) and will need to come back closer to center if they want any chance to win elections in the future. Go woke, go broke.
Turns out talking about your opponent 90% of the time and only being comfortable in conversations about killing babies isn't a winning strategy.

Lets check in with President Biden to get his thoughts on the election results...

Alrighty then... back to you in the studio, Rachel.

Looks like we are going to end up with 142-145MM votes this election. That's strange because I heard a lot yesterday and leading up to yesterday about a record turnout and brutally long lines even after record early voting.

So can someone provide a reasonable explanation for this?

My understanding is there were higher volumes of voters in rural areas than normal, but lower volumes in the inner cities. If you're wondering about the disparities between 2024 and 2020, in 2020 every ballot was counted as a vote and every ballot after midnight was counted as a vote for Joe Biden. This year they actually had to toss erroneous or fraudulent ballots instead of automatically counting them as a dem vote because the GOP was actually proactive for a change.

Save this for when he proves me wrong and I’ll eat crow.

The proof needs to point to something substantial that he does, not just market factors doing market factor things.

Last election, people were highly motivated to get Trump out of office. This election, they either didn’t think Trump had that good of a shot to win so they didn’t bother voting, or they didn’t like Kamala enough so they just decided not to vote, rather than vote Trump.

Those seem like the two most likely reasons. Also, unfortunately, the Dems might be better off not putting a woman on the ballot for a while unless she’s an absolute slam dunk. Sexism is real and comes from all sides of the political spectrum (not that it’s what cost either election, but it didn’t help).

IDK if being a woman hurt her that much. A good chunk of idiots will vote for someone just because of their gender and/or race and I think there are plenty of people that are eager to see a female president, if it's the right one.

I think the vast majority of people are fine with a female president. But there is a subset that absolutely will never vote for a woman and it seems like it’s not as small a group as we’d hope. I think it crosses party-lines, too, because it’s a cultural thing.

So, you know this isn’t what happened, right?

Let’s all just pray RFK Jr.’s crazy a$$ doesn’t get a role with any kind of power or authority. That’s my next concern. It sounds like a foregone conclusion that Elon will be in a position to do some generational damage. That’s less than ideal.

I ask again, because you have on multiple occasions, attempted to appear smart about economics. But have yet to share anything of substance. So if you can, explain how your subjective claim makes sense as to why the market has reacted today. Because you're not saying shit. You're just spilling your emotions everywhere.
Reread post 873, that is quite clear, or perhaps you didn't read it the first time and just started sobbing becuase it was me.

Hope this helps

Zero substance. Just a dumb, subjective opinion with nothing to support it. Maybe you're not a smart as you think you are.

Since you’re so well learned on this topic, you’re surely aware of the GOP’s similarly dystopian ad earlier in the year, yes?

fwiw, I wouldn’t mind Vance taking over for Trump. Sane and shitty is better than insane and shitty.

Yeah probably. The elderly are likely going to get hit the hardest. Consumers, in general, will be less protected, too.
Is this opposite day? Do you really believe the things that you are saying? What are you going to say next, Trump is going to take your guns?

This will get you enthused.

Deregulation is Elon’s goal. Broad deregulation. Trump has offered support for that. That means corporations are free to get up to shenanigans that hurt consumers and shareholders when things go south. Enron and subprime lending are recent examples of what happens without proper regulation.

As for the elderly, repealing the ACA, cutting Medicare, and upping the social security retirement age to something absurd like 69, will all unquestionably make it harder for the elderly to live, let alone live well. Their income won’t increase; their expenses will certainly increase. It’s a simple equation.

The election is over. We can stop repeating the fear tactics meant to persuade voters.

We’ll see. Fear tactics would usually be made-up things.

Don isn’t up for reelection after these 4 years and obviously won’t care about his successor, so he really doesn’t have any reason not to do ridiculous things. There are no ramifications, no consequences for him.
