So it's down to

Miss ST.
Auburn
A&m
Florida/Bama.

Clearly the best 4/5 teams in the conference.

Cal never loses to inferior teams when he has 10x more talent
I know that's sarcasm and we deserve it. In fact, with the exception of the 2017 loss to unc, every NCAAT loss has been to a team with far less talent.
As far as regular seasons go, same thing, very rarely are our losses to more talented teams.
I get the youth thing, bit when you choose to have a new team every year, you don't get to use that excuse.
This is a 10 year job, Cal simply doesn't have it anymore. The game has changed and he isn't keeping up. Too many 10 loss seasons for a guy getting 9 million a year and a ton of fan support.

You made your mistake by jumping me right after our loss. You knew I had Voodoo for the whole SECT and since I didn't need it anymore I sent it all y'all's way. :D
I didn't think I jumped you. Muh bad.

Haven't been the same since, but it was about that time that the game changed to a more physicsl, spread out game and Cal refused to do that. Well, it's tough to be physical with freshmen.
I applaud him for bringing in an offensive guru over the summer, our offense is great, but apparently it was at the cost of any semblence of a defense.

Probably. We had the Elite run and then won the SEC by 3 games during covid, but sure.
what happen in the elite 8 run again? I really wish the Sec tourney and ncaa tourney took place in 2020. Auburn won 25 games that year and beat UK at home. We finished 2nd in SEC and were playing rwally well at end of that season

Thing is, they'll shit their pants in the next game, then get into the NCAAT and lose to a team full of honkeys that have never sniffed a weight room. That Buzz Williams for ya.
I would bet on it but I am pulling for them. Classy kids and coach.

Dang I forgot about that one. So two Elite Eight runs. Lost to UNC with the Maye shot('17) and then to Auburn on missed FT's ('19). So two Elite Eights and won the SEC by three games since the Wisconsin loss.

Many SEC teams don't have that many Elite Eights in their entire history.

*but yeah, for UK, that's a drought.

Crazy our down streak is still better than most SEC teams history.

you basically ran tubby smith off for obky making elite 8's. Also auburn was without its only nba draft pick in that game

Auburn didn’t have Okeke, you just lost. Another great coaching job.

Anyway, UK still has more SECT championships than #2,#3, and #4 combined.

That stat is safe for generations.

Good luck guys. It's a great tournament this year. Glad to see others stepping up.

Eh....what was the actual reason? I never thought to ask before.
He was burned out, he was looking for another job long before Minnesota came along. Donna was worn out.

The pressure gets to some with high-profile jobs. Kentucky isn't for everyone. Some might way fans run him off but that's lazy. The pressure of a top job ran him off. He wanted to quit and did. Calipari is going through worse right now and he's still here.

So yeah, the job ran him off.

*keep in mind the job also caused two coaches to become alcoholics.

cal wins on draft day and signing day which is why cal still has guys like you in his corner. Tubby didnt get that treatment. tubby had it much worse
