He refuses to play his best lineup consistently, year after year. He's been washed for a long time. Fans are finally starting to wake up which is cool I guess.

I get why he can’t play Dillingham endlessly, he throws the ball away a lot and is a little too wild, but him continuing to start Edwards and DJ, is so Cal. He gets stuck on summertime draft projections and ignores who his best players are for winning college games. I can't wait until he's gone. The program has been a clown show for far too long now.
Dillingham is gonna be hot and cold, but he's a lottery pick for a reason. Let him play through mistakes and it's fine. Wagner and Edwards have been big disappointments, but Cal likely promised them minutes and ain't going back on it
Back in my days of running around with Joe B. Hall, he would give me tickets to some road games, so I would set with whoever Joe gave the tickets to. A couple times I sat with Head of SEC Officiating, John Guthrie. John was an ex head coach of Georgia and had a horrible record at Georgia, but the SEC put him in to that office for some unknown reason, probably political.
Early in the game sitting with John, a couple trips down the floor UK got burned with bad calls. I said "John what do you think of that screwing?". He laughed and told me that any call against UK was a good call. Every time UK got burned by a bad call John would just laugh. Folks he was the Head of SEC Officiating for 25 years. Then he was replaced by an even more anti-Kentucky man Gerald Boudreaux.
So there is no referee conspiracy. It is engrained in the fabric of the SEC. My source is not hearsay, but straight from the horses mouth (more appropriate term would be "horses ass").
I don't like Florida, but even with my biased eye Florida got jobbed.

Saw some weird lineups last night. He had Bradshaw, Ugo, Ado, DJ and Edwards on the floor at one time.
Then, he had Burks in there with Rob, Ugo, Shep and Edwards. It seemed like he was trying to show everyone he knows better, but between those lineups and the officiating, it's no surprise we lost.
Dillingham was insane against the Vols, but he only played 27 minutes. Y'all need to feed the hot hand more than you do and pull out the guys that clearly are not on track. Y'all do the opposite.

I am all for Dilly and Shep starting in place of Wagner and Edwards and seeing the lionshare of the minutes. They are a much better duo/alternative, and are much more productive.
But man, is Dilly tough to watch sometimes. He was awful, absolutely awful in the first half yesterday. Cal had no option but to sit him. Then he comes out in the second half and looks like Iverson with his finishes over big guys at the rim and his step back to give UK the lead. He is just super inconsistent at this stage of his basketball life, which is to be expected of a freshman.
Shep has too many careless TOs and is constantly out of position defensively (as is most of the team). He had a terrible TO last night, then on LSUs next possession, he gets lost defensively, and leaves his man for a wide open corner 3. Back breaking sequence.
I just think we have a flawed roster, which is 100% on Cal.
The scouting report on Dillingham has not changed since he was in HS/AAU. Electric playmaker with the ball in his hands, can get hot at any given time and carry the team on his back, lacks elite PG skills - more of a scorer, tendency to take low percentage/contested shots, can get wild with the ball and dribble/pass into trouble/careless turnovers.
I just can't understand the lineups. I'm an idiot at basketball, but if you constantly play a lineup with only one or two people that are "scorers" it shouldn't be surprising when they don't score.

You like your chances in Columbia? Guess it's possible, SC could be one of those teams that just went on a heater for a few weeks and is now coming back down to earth.
Seems like we keep catching teams that are on a heater. Though, I would love another shot at both SC snd LSU on a neutral court.

They are freshman, of course they gonna make maddening mistakes. But both have 2 to 1 A/TO ratios. Both (well especially Rob) can carry the team for long stretches. And they are the two best players on the team. It's absurd that Cal is still putting them on the bench. Wagner and Edwards aren't half the players, respectfully. But they were top 5 recruits, so of course they gotta start. Bradshaw plays too many minutes too, maybe Mitchell will come back and take them but I doubt it. It'll just move Adou back down to the 3.
You need to note the taste of shoe polish cause the Vols will kick your ass so hard you'll be tasting for a month.
No, you snuck in is the riff raff you usually are, but your coach has molded a bunch of plugs into a gritty team. That won't save you in Colatown though.

I hope that kid doesn't have a concussion. With all the cameras following the action, you have to be some kind of stupid to think nobody would catch that. That should get him suspended for a lot more than just 1 game.
It's like a helicopter mom, instead of mom insert fan. The foul could not have cause a concussion.

Also, I don't see how the term 'helicopter fan/mom' applied here. I'm not hovering over the kid, or controlling everything he does, all I'm saying is the elbow to the head could have caused a concussion and is more serious than a 1 game suspension.
You saw the play. You saw the leverage, angle and balance and the blow. You also saw the player get up and continue to play helicopter Jeff.
Any contact to the head can cause a concussion and just because he continued to play, doesn't mean he didn’t have a concussion.
But, whether it caused a concussion or not, doesn't matter, he still delivered a shot to the head.
