Self wouldn’t be the 1st coach to jump ship.I agree with @Global Havok , Self is a college guy, he'll be good wherever he goes, but it's tough to picture him anywhere but KU.
I wonder if he's jumping ship before it sinks though. Yikes.
Oh I know where you're going with this and I knew someone would. Thanks for not letting me down.Self wouldn’t be the 1st coach to jump ship.
Maybe Billy Clyde againI think someone new would be a welcome change at KU. That's not a bash on Self, but it's always an exciting (nervous?) time to get a new regime. Recruits you might not get with Self might be the types that come there now for someone else. When Cal goes, I'll be excited to see who we get and what their angle for UK is. I feel that way for ANY of the blue bloods.
No rush.
Yeah, Roy went out with a bang with KU as well.Self wouldn’t be the 1st coach to jump ship.
John Calipari to return to Lawrence?Should this prediction become so, who would the Jayhawk fans want?
Yeah, it could come with some risks, but I'd say anyone who paid any attention at all to that decision would now do their homework first.Maybe Billy Clyde again
He'd have to start to cheat again.John Calipari to return to Lawrence?
Laughing Well done. He'd have to start to cheat again.
There’s actually been quite a few coaches to jump ship but I’m glad everyone knows who you thought of 1st.Oh I know where you're going with this and I knew someone would. Thanks for not letting me down.
Problem is, the coach you are alluding to was found completely innocent and it was proven that he knew nothing about the transgressions.
But I get it, he recruited those players and those things happened under his watch.
Unfortunately for most programs out there, the NCAA doesn’t give special treatment or cowar.
Self wouldn’t be the 1st coach to jump ship.

No, but it's inevitable. So replacing a longtime coach is always a welcome change?
No, but it's inevitable.
Cal > Tubby, Billy Clyde Gillispie
Duke fans better be preparing too.
I heard Tom Crean wants to throw his hat in that ring.I think someone new would be a welcome change at KU. That's not a bash on Self, but it's always an exciting (nervous?) time to get a new regime. If it was anyone else (sans Louisville fans), I would not have said what I said, but I know you too well. There’s actually been quite a few coaches to jump ship but I’m glad everyone knows who you thought of 1st.
Ahh, yeah, good call. Texas Tech fans will find out real fast just what happens when a blue blood wants what they have. They truly think he would never leave. LMAO.Kentucky would’ve fired him in 2017.
I say bring on the change.

I think I can speak for all of Jayhawk nation when I say you have nothing to worry about.I never want Self to leave Kansas because they might come for Tad Boyle and I don't know how he turns it down.
Self wouldn’t be the 1st coach to jump ship.

I’m just glad the mighty NCAA cleared Cal in both cases when he left UMass and Memphis as you already know. He had every right to leave both of those schools since there was foul play going on.
Didn’t you admit the other day that there’s “foul play” everywhere?
If he goes to the NBA then something crazy is about to drop on KU, because the NBA is a crap place to go coach. You either are one of the haves, or you’re not. No coaching tactics are going to change what a team is, you are more of a babysitter for overpaid 20 somethings then a coach.
