an entire show and syndication cancelled...but another comedian can call someone like the presidents daughter, who does nothing offensive like her father, a feckless **** and just issue an apology? Seems to be a little bit of a double standard.

No doubt.it was fine for her to get an entire show and syndication cancelled...but another comedian can call someone like the presidents daughter, who does nothing offensive like her father, a feckless **** and just issue an apology? Seems to be a little bit of a double standard. Comedy crosses all types of lines, and thats what makes it funny. But it seems like there is a double standard that exists.
Eh... Barron, yes, but adult children who are involved with him politically? They're totally fair game.Point blank she was dead wrong but Trump wants apologies when he's attacked but never apologizes for the crazy things he's said. His children and anyone elses's should be off limits.
The insinuation that the only safety schools can provide children is surrounding them with guns is histrionics. In a post about the character of someone who would make fun of farmers or public educators, focusing on a single word is petty.Do tell.
That's such hypocrisy. You made excuses for Roseanne's maybe not meaning anything racist by using one of the oldest, best known racist tropes to insult a black woman, but now a crude joke directed at the politically involved adult daughter of our President is "disgusting."This had nothing to do with Trump. This was an unwarranted attack on Ivanka over her posting a picture of herself with her son. The liberals in entertainment are disgusting, this is just another example.
Not any and every thing, no, of course not. I'd consider some consistency and adjusted priorities progress, though. He'll spend an entire morning tweeting immature insults at someone who tells a joke about him, or call the most professional and esteemed journalists "fake news" if they're critical in any way, but he has to wait to see all the facts and hear both sides before condemning white supremacists.Jesus. So now the president has to condemn anything bad that gets said? No. He doesn’t have to condemn her comments. It has nothing to do with him.
Are you doing anything to commemorate the 2 year anniversary this summer? Or is it a daily, ringing-of-the-sad-bells type thing?Trump should have condemned Roseanne’s comments the way Hillary and Obama condemned the Milwaukee riots, right?
How can you say what Bee said was a joke? It was a hateful insult that had zero comedy value. But you call it a crude joke in the same breath as calling me a hypocrite. Haha. You and Bee are disgusting. That's such hypocrisy. You made excuses for Roseanne's maybe not meaning anything racist by using one of the oldest, best known racist tropes to insult a black woman, but now a crude joke directed at the politically involved adult daughter of our President is "disgusting."
It's cute when simple-minded folk assume everyone else is just as simple-minded as they are.Better stay on topic or you’ll be accused of deflecting.
Yep. You're only one behind a broken clock now! Take note, @uncfan in ky .Nah. I already said that ship has sailed. I wasn't deflecting, just changing the subject.
President Obama's supporters were critical of his not commenting more frequently and more quickly about other incidents of that nature, but Milwaukee is the only one you care about.I’ve seen liberal after liberal excuse the heads of the Democratic Party for not commenting on those violent riots. Do you think Obama should have condemned them?
Violent riots with racial hatred crimes being committed and businesses being burnt to the ground seem a bit more concerning to me than a struggling actress and making a racist tweet.
I think presidents should condemn violent riots. I don’t see the need for presidents to correct every celebrity who says something stupid.

This would make for an interesting conspiracy theory. Is it because their funding for paid protesters ended? Who funded these folks? It was always assumed that Soros was funding them, but maybe it was a prepaid source from inside the previous administration .On a side note . . . anyone notice how the political rallies/violence of last summer have stopped? Why? What changed?
See, I read the bold as your claiming they hardly ever do it... but when they do it's only for some other nefarious motive. How does that show they could ever do right by you?I think all are funny too----but at the same time, they rarely break rank and hammer their own political side when they really need grilling. Sure, they do some pieces to not be 100% anti Red, but the percentages are about 99 to 1%. They are funny and have incredible writers behind them--but they shouldn't be viewed as credible when they ignore their own trash.
I do. Why don't you care about any other incident, or the incidents that ultimately led to any riots? For that matter, why is your only public show of concern for the Milwaukee riots in using references to them as a retort?Yes, I care about it. Why don't you?
Even if I wanted to, I wouldn't give you the satisfaction b/c it's a stupid, selfish, childish thing to try to extort from people, particularly when you never hold up your end of the bargain.I'll bring it up until we all agree Obama should have spoken out. I feel like that'll be awhile.

Remember that one thing I'm sorta good at? The use of words thing? The type-y, type-y?@KYtotheCore , you need to change the thread title to "Dattier unhinged"
So it's mere cannon fodder and an opportunity to politicize it for your agenda.I bring it up less for public concern these days and more to show the hypocrisy of liberals.
Even if I wanted to, I wouldn't
I never said you were good at anything. I said you had a massive arsenal of words. It really wasn't a complement. I surely hope you didn't take it as such.Remember that one thing I'm sorta good at? The use of words thing? The type-y, type-y?
If I'm unhinged, I'm doing a far better job of concealing it than you are of exposing it.

Someone must have a guilty conscience. It's cute when simple-minded folk assume everyone else is just as simple-minded as they are.

OuchHow shitty would you feel if you were in your 50s and the most use you got out of your master's degree in creative writing was arguing in circles about Roseann Barr on a free college basketball forum?
And he’s getting his ass handed to him on top of that. How shitty would you feel if you were in your 50s and the most use you got out of your master's degree in creative writing was arguing in circles about Roseann Barr on a free college basketball forum?
Theres knowing a lot of words and being good with a lot of words. Where is datt?@LetsGoDuke301
If he was as good with words as he thinks, he'd probably be a full time teacher and not a 50 year old substitute.
Well, you're off by a decade, wrong about the degree, and wrong about its use. That's 3 strikes, but other conservatives thought the swings looked good. How shitty would you feel if you were in your 50s and the most use you got out of your master's degree in creative writing was arguing in circles about Roseann Barr on a free college basketball forum?
Was Samanta Bee's comment a joke?Well, you're off by a decade, wrong about the degree, and wrong about its use. That's 3 strikes, but other conservatives thought the swings looked good.
Never mind the inaccuracy and bizarre randomness; it's a sure sign you can't hold your own in the discussion when you start attempting to go after someone personally and irrelevantly. We know. You'd rather use your underemployed free time to rant for 15 pages about Roseanne Barr or whatever else Vox is telling you to mad about.
100%. For that matter, so was Roseanne's tweet, Kathy Griffin's shtick, and a variety of other bits that outraged people. Was Samanta Bee's comment a joke?
And he’s getting his ass handed to him on top of that.
Oh, yeah, you sure got me there. EyerollWhat grown man call refers to anything as "the type-y type-y"?
