Pitino was being a pretty serious d-bag in his presser. Ripping his players for being "so unathletic" and saying it's the least enjoyable season he's ever had. "Had to take whoever we could get." Has he always been like this?

Shit like this just makes me appreciate Self more.

He’s the king of hyperbole.

It seemed like he said "this is the best, most connected team I have ever coached" every year when he coached at Louisville. I don't think I need to remind you that he coached the 96, 92, 97 and 95 UK teams.

Plus, I can probably think of 3 or 4 cases in his Louisville tenure that were easily less enjoyable than his time at St Johns. Jeez, the Karen Sypher ordeal alone is 10 times worse.
