Place to put my Nonsense Thread.

Gender is socially constructed. We see differences in how gender is defined across cultures. In terms of biological differences, you’re talking about sex. That definition doesn’t change across cultures.

You can be an effeminate man or a masculine female. Doesn't mean you can change your sex, however.

Right, you can’t change your sex. Well, you kinda can with operations. Your gender can differ from your sex, though. They’re not inextricably linked.

All of that said, I have no problem with limiting sports participation based biological sex, rather than gender.

Yes, people of the male sex can belong to the female gender. Gender is just a thing humans decided to make a thing. Sex is science, gender is literally whatever we feel like gender could be.

It's really not. Only women can have periods. Only women can give birth to children. Only women can breastfeed.

It's such a silly thing to believe. By your logic, every person might as well be bisexual. Because, you know, gender isn't a thing. And you know very well that isn't true. If you actually believed that to be true, and if you were single, you'd have no issues dating a trans woman. I'm sure their penis wouldn't bother you at all.

Whats sad is that the first part of your post would offend a lot of people.

Two days ago I was leaving my office and a guy and butch looking girl were walking towards me in the hallway. We both turned the corner and I assumed they were going to the elevator, I went to the bathroom and to my surprise the girl followed closely behind me into the men's room.

I immediately went into shock and panicked. Didn't go to the urinal as I planned and instead ducked into a stall The girl went into the stall next to me and I could hear her undo her stuff and sit down and immediately start peeing like a race horse. I was instantly overcome with stage fright and just stood there frozen until she was done and comlpetely out of the bathroom before I was able to begin peeing.

Honestly, I feel like I left that bathroom more of a woman than her.

Your argument doesn’t make sense. You keep conflating sex and gender.

My argument doesn't make sense? Really? You're the one trying to mainstream delusions.

If I accept your premise that a man can become a woman, then a trans woman dating a straight man is a heterosexual relationship. Are homosexual and heterosexual relationships societal constructs, too? That would be kind of weird, because you'd have to be a little gay to be interested in a "woman" with a penis. But maybe the argument is simply that all people are bisexual. Or maybe the argument is that everything is a social construct.

If someone can identify as being the other gender, then why can't someone also identify as being a different race, a different nationality, a different height?

If your body "doesn't align with your identity", you have bigger problems ahead. A lifelong battle with depression and suicidal tendencies. We need to stop normalizing this nonsense. It's not helping them. This reporter asks students if they were okay if he identifies as a 7-year-old - and as a 6'5 Chinese woman. They struggle to answer these questions - because they're trying to be politically correct, but they also know his questions are absolute rubbish.

Do most feminists believe gender is a social construct? Because if they do, wouldn't that eliminate the belief in the "pay gap" between genders? If gender doesn't really mean anything, saying a man makes more than a woman also doesn't mean anything.
