Yes sir!! As long as the lightning isn't really bad, as in close, but it's awesome. 👍
I love it when the lighting is close. Love loud thunder. Which we are getting right now. Only the heavy sleepers aren't hearing this.

This is the weather nerd in me. But last summer, this was one of the most intense thunderstorm I have seen. I had never seen pink on this radar before that and it was centered over my house.

My wife went to the hallway. I stayed on the porch. Oaks that survived all the hurricanes were blown down in that storm. It was probably the closest thing to tornado damage this area has seen.

This morning I was woke up bye very loud thunder at 6AM, it was "rattling the windows" as a saying, it lasted for about 10 to 15 minutes, but I laid there and enjoyed. And I was off today, I work a 12 hour swing, headed back to work early Friday for 6 straight.

Edit: rattling the windows was a quote that the old folks used when I was a kid.

Wow.
Okay, the NCAA needs to accept Transgender athletes, but they should have their own division, it would be Women, Men, and Transgender.
Sounds simple to me, but I am not nothing in the BIG scale. 🤷‍♀️

What do you think on my idea @brooky03, and sorry for the avatar you got stuck with, I bet that's not you. I hope it's not. 💪

Best one i read is they need to treat it like drag racing. Two classes, one for men one for women. Then an anything goes class, steroids, transgenders, whatever. Run what you brung lol

I am actually kind of excited about it. Our liquor rep told me about it. I think we could have tournaments and make some money off of it. All of which would be reported to the IRS, of course. But right now I am out numbered two to one. One doesn't want to get rid of the skee ball machines that nobody uses. And the other is afraid that it will be a liability with a bunch of drunks.
Yea man these things are huge during the winter i have golf buddies that plau them religiously. Also the oculus golf is super bad ass as well but not at cool as the simulators.

The transgender or ‘anything goes’ division wouldn’t be big enough.

It’s simpler for non-team sports. Let them compete as their new gender but their records don’t count for shit and they can’t compete in the post season.

Team sports are trickier. I feel like you either have to ban it or establish performance-based criteria. Set some bar for athleticism or ability based on the abilities of the highest level athletes in the sport for that gender. If their measurables are lower than the top 25%, they can play. Or something like that. I don’t know how this would be done practically but it’s theoretically possible, at least.

That’s the closest I can get to fairness for everybody.

I see where you are going, but just don't see it working out.
If they want to compete, they need their own class. You will not see a transgender that was once a female competing against men and winning in fiscal sports, it is the women's side that can and will be destroyed. 🤷‍♀️

I just don’t think it will be common enough to support a division of its own. It’s very very rare right now. Exponentional growth for 30 years would result in like 50 of them across all D1 sports.

So just let "them" as you called it to destroy all the young women competing, forget the girls training and working hard everyday to be better to have to face a "girl" that grew up all their life as a male, with testosterone building muscles and claim to be a female. It does not matter if it is one or 50, there will be young ladies crushed.

Seems like a simple solution to me. If you are born a man, you compete against men. Anything else is not fair.
Caster Semenya was born a woman and she isn’t able to compete in the Olympics.

Were you also angry about that?

Just let all transgender people compete in men's sports. There isn't really a men's sports anyway. Anyone can play with the men. The only issue is for women's athletics and men who transition should not compete with them.

Yup. Have a women’s division and an open division. Anyone taking testosterone has to compete in the open division.

What’s the context? I don’t know the story. She was born a female but denied competing against other females?

She did compete in the Olympics and won multiple medals until some point where they changed the rules back to what they previously were or something regarding testosterone.

She was born with sex organs or chromosomes of both sexes I think. Something like that.

That’s a tricky situation. Really not sure how to feel about it

I offered some options. So no, I’m not saying to let them ruin women’s sports.

Are you mistaking me for somebody else?

Yep, has a vag but also has internal testes which cause heightened levels of testosterone. (Not male levels but still elevated)

She wasn’t allowed to compete in the Olympics

She has XX chromosomes, but has internal testes. Intersex I believe is the term.

She was allowed to compete in the Olympics and won medals for years. Then she wasn't unless she took something to lower the testosterone levels. At that point in her career she chose not to do that.

I'm okay with transgender females competing in women's sports on one condition: We have to first see a transgender male beat all men in a major competition. When that happens, then we can know that gender is truly a social construct.

Gender is socially constructed. We see differences in how gender is defined across cultures. In terms of biological differences, you’re talking about sex. That definition doesn’t change across cultures.
