Place to put my Nonsense Thread.

Ha. When did that happen? Seen him put down a couple bottles of wine at shows before. Not sure he’s a lightweight.
Bourbon and beyond 2017 or 2018 I can’t remember. It probably just went down wrong, but he was getting heckled pretty hard in bluegrass country.

Wouldn't it be funny if a bunch of athletes from all over the world started pulling out of the Olympics due to Covid?

Suuuurrree you will. Another internet tough guy. If you like 87 year old women give it a go.

Joe Rogan is a good interviewer. I moreso like his ramblings on hypotheticals mostly. Regarding his “comedy”. Uhhhh

Dude was never funny and I don’t know anyone who would say Joe Rogan was or is a good comedian. Though he likes to pretend he’s some legend. It’s weird.

Joe Rogan used to make good points. It’s a shame he doesn’t anymore. I guess the facade starts to break down after you talk on a show for 4 hours a day for years.
Run outta stuff to talk about and start contradicting yourself from previous podcasts because he’s too stoney bologna.

Rogan is actually a pretty moderate guy. Not sure why anyone would say he's gone downhill. Think he's just finally realizing a lot of these social issues aren't really issues. I'm sure that triggers some of the liberals who listen to him. But he's all about gay marriage, smoking pot, and science. He's far from a normal republican.

I equate him as a comedian to the typical journeyman in sports. You’re not upset when your team signs him, happy even, but you don’t want to be relying on him for W’s.

I listened to it a lot when I started my auditing job. Good filler for hours of writing working papers. Then I found myself starting to cringe more and more at his takes and some of the conspiracies he would support. Started to wonder what he believes and what was just him pandering to a part of his audience. Decided it wasn’t worth the listen anymore about 2 years ago.

The Alpha Brain supplement crap really annoyed me. I get it, he wants to add revenue streams but the snake oil sales never sat well.

Republican v. Democrat isn’t a factor. It’s about entertainment. He’s gotten less entertaining. He’s also not quite as smart as I had originally thought. That’s a minor critique (my favorite podcasts are mostly idiots babbling about sports and nonsense), but he has a faux humility to him. He’ll say he doesn’t know - which is why he’s a good interviewer, gets people to open up - but he’ll often act like he is coming from a very knowledgeable and informed place when he’s not.

His guest list also started getting worse, imo. I became less interested in the interviewees over time, which will happen when you interview thousands of people.

I must be the only one not to know hardly anything about Joe Rogan. Never listened to a podcast in my life. But everyone talks about him. I only know what has been posted on Rivals.

Most supplements are sound in nature, but the benefit they provide is wildly....wildly exaggerated. Most end up being "expensive urine".

That's fair. I admittedly never listen to his podcasts, just short clips on YouTube now and then.

I like Rogan because he has a lot of logical takes unless it's conspiracy theories. Id also bet after leaving and trashing California he will vote for identical politicians in Texas. Since he is liberal leaning on most issues.

His guest list is easily the most impressive in the podcast world. Easily.

I don’t dislike him, and it has nothing to do with politics. He comes off as a pseudo intellectual to me, and though he can kick some serious ass…has that Napoleon complex. I still listen to his podcasts occasionally if he has someone good on. His Tim Dillon one was funny. I also thought it was hilarious when snoop was on and Joe got so stoned he could barley speak.

Rogan was great like 4-5 years ago. His material and podcasts have become somewhat monotonous.

He came to Kentucky after the tornadoes hit a couple weeks ago. I’m all for giving this guy hell in the right circumstances, but I did find it really distasteful that’s what he was welcomed with when he arrived. There’s a time and a place. When the guy is coming to give support for the biggest weather disaster in state history, probably best to be respectful.

Yeah, I don't mind hating on the guy you don't like but the way people treat politicians they don't agree with is just disgraceful. People are smart enough or rational enough to even understand that though.

I don't like Biden but if he knows what that phrase means and still said it in return I would actually find that pretty humorous.
