Cut him some slack, it’s not easy being a cuse fan. Or a U of L fan for that matter. Half the reason I gotta start these off topic threads. It’s far and away Brooky.

Which one is philSpeaking of posters and what they talk about….
I feel like Phil has never made a positive post about anything. That dude is always on one lol. For a “rich guy” he seems pretty miserable.
SpaceX is tedering....on cusp a new phase(starlink will be more known than huge rockets). Tesla is just getting started (besides building infrastructure with gigafactories around the globe, they're building a small car for the asain market and it's going to sell so f^cking many cars). Boring Co is working with a few cities, they like what they've done. Deepmind/Open AI is an AI company that's working closely with Tesla FSD. AI and Tesla could be a a generic term for AI. There's a name for it. Think Qtip, Kleenex, Coke. NeuraLink is probably his most scifi. Implanting chips in brains. So fair he's got a chimp to play a video game.Musk employs over 100,000 people and will face a tax bill north of $15 billion. No way has Warren even come close to Musk's contributions. He's innovative, resourceful, employs thousands of brilliant minds, and dishes out billions in taxes. World would be better off with 50 Elon Musks, as opposed to 50 Elizabeth Warrens.
To be fair he was pretty bad at it. Wasn't much thought, just a bombardment of links that support his thought process. He has better angles on UK than he does politics. She is such a bitch. I won't tag him because he hates this thread, but thedude was telling me last night or the night before on xbox that she is genuine and does more to help us than Elon Musk ever will. The second part may be true, but she is truly one of my least favorite dems out there.
You would probably stop thinking farming was fun after about 12 minutes. Doesn't matter if it's crops or livestock. Those dudes GRIND and are constantly stressed out having all their money tied up in equipment and having their livelihood almost exclusively at the mercy of Mother Nature. Most of them live season to season, teetering on the brink of bankruptcy all the time. Not to mention the 18+ hour days, back-breaking work, and fluctuating commodity prices. They are at the mercy of a lot of things they have no control over. Not sure how to phrase this question, but I wonder how many here could do someone else's job here. Not literally, I couldn't be a proper doctor or accountant, but in general of the daily grind.
People have more repetitive work than others. Social aspects breaks a lot of that up. I need social aspect. Couldn't code, crank wrenches, any type of factory work, accountant would be tough. Love numbers, but idk. Farmer would be fun. Mayor, no thanks. Super thankful to truck drivers.
Had an ultrasound done once, the murse was super nice. I think I could do that, but it goes back to social.
I don't think what I did was full time farming but I picked tomates by 5 gallong bucks ( got paid by the bucket) to buy school clothes and pay insurance. Also knows what it's like to bail bails of hay all day long b/c rain is coming and it has to get in the barn (no pay). You would probably stop thinking farming was fun after about 12 minutes. Yeah, the tobacco work is no joke! Most of the farms I know of hire Mexicans to do it. Smart of you to get a leg up by doing the things you do at work.I don't think what I did was full time farming but I picked tomates by 5 gallong bucks ( got paid by the bucket) to buy school clothes and pay insurance. I don't know what it's like to run it. I do know what it's like to be a 10-18 year old grunt.
With all that said, f^ck tobacco work. Cutting and hanging is real work. Pretty sure I got nicotine poisoning a couple of times.
Castrating bulls wasn't fun either.
I moved to Casey Co when I was 12. It went from Atari/commodore 64 to chopping wood real quick. it was like going back in time, but I'm glad for it. So with that said. I'd do it again. You're probably right though.
Also, you just describe my dad and all my uncles. Everything from logging, landscaping to dealerships. It is a constant GRIND. All day every day.
I grind everyday in sales. I come up with new stuff. Not new, but others aren't doing. It's basically old stuff. I take customers to dinner. Give them tickets, woo them. I don't stop calling folks. We have a bank of old customers any salesman and access. None do. It's mostly old customers who the salesman is no longer here, so half my time is reconnecting the dealership to the customer and then introduce me and how I'm better. I get about 10% of those customers show up and 25& from them buy.
Before there were mexican famers in Casey Co, there were red heads getting sunburned and a couple of burn outs.Yeah, the tobacco work is no joke! Most of the farms I know of hire Mexicans to do it. Smart of you to get a leg up by doing the things you do at work.
I have this exact photo. I actually carry it in my wallet, have for at least 10 years. I only use it when I know thee viewee will laugh.
Has @cdbearde posted at all since the tornadoes?

True story, I friend requested Nerlens Noel a few years ago after I met him while playing volleyball in Lexington. He accepted my friend request… awesome, but, 2 days later, on a dare by my brother, I posted that baby picture on fb as a joke. NN immediately unfriended me. apparently he's 'more mature' than I.

$275 million was the asking amount of the lawsuit. I highly doubt that was the settlement amount. Still, combine that with the settlements he got last year from CNN and Washington Post and he is probably one of the wealthiest people in Kentucky now.Covington Catholic graduate Nicholas Sandmann reaches settlement in lawsuit against NBC
Sandmann announced the settlement in a tweet, saying the terms of the agreement are confidential.www.cincinnati.com
