Place to put my Nonsense Thread.

If a minority of people want to feel disrespected by it, then that’s for them to feel. I’m not going to tell them how to feel.

I’m just saying that protesting injustice doesn’t mean you dislike your country. It’s weird to make that connection.
I can get on board----somewhat. BUT----there are other ways: Kneeling to the flag/playing of the anthem, while representing your country, to me just isn't the way to do so. It brings more attention to you, opposed to your cause. Or, well there is this...

No kneeling needed. They both wore "Human Right Badges" as well. BUT, at the end of the day---they STOOD.

Or hell, if it means that much---BOYCOTT the games altogether,. I tell ya why no athlete will boycott:

$$$$...Seems to me their "cause" has its limits..

Not hung up on "the smallest part", brother. I actually agree with a lot of what you are saying. My only point is---you cannot lump everyone into the same boat. And the thing is---if you give to some, you basically have to give to all; impossible to gauge who needs, and who doesn't. These are unprecedented times....No real right/wrong way. I 100% agree people need to get off their asses, and get to work----But ****, can you really blame them? My soon to be ex son-in-law was a manager at KFC....made about $800 a week...Since COVID, dude is raking. Not to mention the stimulus they got , with 4 kids. So I mean, how do you tell someone to give that up, and go work for less?

Some, many, lost a lot---and had very little to start with. Barely scraping by. COVID hurt us, and we were in very good shape---I cannot imagine what it done to those making much less.
If you can point to where I lumped everyone into the same category, maybe we can continue this conversation. I will wait patiently.

So, ummm, who were you specifically talking about? Poor people? Middle class? Wealthy? You never specified a group---You just went on a rant on how much has already been given, etc, etc...So I pointed out that not everyone is on equal ground here. Lot of folk didn't need the help---a lot did. And a lot needed more help, and still do. And look, even though $46 billion has been approved for rent relief, only $3 billion has been used. One of the reason for this, is the landlords not wanting to participate. They too have to do paperwork, i.e. lease, rent owed, and the signing off. Yes, the landlords. Not to mention the difficulty obtaining the help....My wife and I got some relief, and it took almost 2 months. SOme do not have access to the internet...or know how to access the sites. I don't feel sorry for landlords...They know these benefits are there. So help your tenants out. Advertise; Our complex sent out fliers, showing us exactly how to apply. Its just not all on the tenants here.

Bottom line---people still need help. Especially those who were already living in poverty, or close to it.

I can't say it any differently than I already have. I will just leave it at me being too stupid to articulate. But let's talk about this...

In a way, no I can't blame them. But that is exactly how you allow the government to own you. You become a dependent instead of a provider. Funny thing about what you're saying here is this is EXACTLY what I have been talking about that you have ignored. Then you bring up the stimulus they got. This should be where I tell you that the stimulus isn't really significant compared to what they lost. How do you tell them to give it up and go back to work? You stop giving them money not to work. You might be okay with the current policies running our country into the dirt because you can't blame someone for taking the handout instead of going to work and having a little bit of dignity, but that doesn't mean everyone else has to be.

I mean when someone/something dies their heart stops beating. Plus the article itself said they were still alive.......

confirms that brooky will defend ANYTHING

The article said they’re alive because they have a heartbeat and that’s how pro-lifers define ‘alive’.

So, coming from someone who does not have a strong opinion one way or the other on abortion, but probably more pro choice than pro life.

How on earth do you figure out something is alive other than a heart beat..?
