Place to put my Nonsense Thread.

Right, which is where opinion comes in and court decisions. I don’t know of court decisions that have allowed for deadly force in response to a slap.
Yea but u act like the person that does the initial slap is just gonna slap and then stop and not continue to fight when its obv gonna escalate.

If someone knocks on my door, i open it and they slap me, 100% chance Theres gonna be a helluva lot of escalation before i pull out a gun and kill him, but i damned sure would if i had to.

I think most pubs first look at the actual event that happened. Then they look at previous behavior patterns. Do you find it a tad ridiculous and mostly misguided...that george Floyd has a statue and t shirts?
I mean the cops do everything right for 30 yrs, Floyd does everything wrong, and the cop crosses the line and we get this. Never mind Floyd had crossed the decent human being/trash criminal line dozens of times.
The backlash is because of the sense of betrayal. Cops are supposed to be the good guys always. When they betray that and kill somebody they shouldn't, somebody who is innocent in the sense that they didn't do anything worthy of losing their life, they have betrayed society's trust. Trust is hard to earn back. When people see a pattern, even if you don't see it, it's even harder to earn back; and it doesn't take many bad apples to spoil the bunch. George Floyd's past or the fact that he was allegedly trying to pass counterfeit bills, is rightly inconsequential to that.

People don't see George Floyd as sub-human because he had a checkered past. They don't say, "well, he was a bad guy, so tough luck."

Im not a lawyer by any mean, but doesnt “stand ur ground” states mean you can absoulutely kill someone if they are on your property basically doing anything you dont like without your permission? Or do they have to impose immediate harm or however its worded?

Current stand your ground laws don't allow you to shoot anybody trespassing. They have to pose a threat to you. The specific example we were discussing was an unarmed porch pirate. You can't shoot them. Florida is potentially opening a door to allow for that, intended as an anti-protest/anti-riot measure.

I probably wouldn’t enjoy a beer with hail either, based on his trolling, but I’d do it just to see what he’s really like. He’s an enigma to me.
I have spoken with Hail on the phone, a few times. A good natured, down to earth---seemingly intelligent dude. We've had our moments on here---but mostly just Hail getting under my skin---and vice-versa. But through our conversations---he seems to be an alright dude.

At that point it would be criminal tresspassing, if not burglary(felony).

Correct, when they enter your home it's a totally different ballgame. That's when you have a good chance of blowing them away without being prosecuted.

Usually, I would think if somebody wants to fight you they would go with a punch. Most slaps that I've seen in the wild are one-hitters. Obviously, the normal thing to do after that would be to hit them back and then you're talking about a full blown fist fight. The legality of stabbing them then gets dicey and is very case-by-case.

The specific 'slap and stab' example that was given wasn't involving somebody on your property, btw. It was more like in a bar or something; somewhere in public. On your property, it might change a little bit depending on circumstances. But, still, if someone ran up to you while you were weed whacking and slapped you in the face, you probably couldn't stab them in the neck right away. There would need to be indication that they intended to continue to harm you or kill you.

Yeah, that’s pretty fvcked up. You guys take murder very seriously in one breath and then not at all seriously in another. Do you guys actually consider what it means to put a bullet in a person and then watch them bleed to death, spasming and gasping for air? Because they took a thing that insurance will replace?
Here's an idea---If you don't wanna get shot----don't break into someone's home. Problem solved. If I her someone breaking into my home, in the middle of night---I'm not gonna pull up a chair, wait and see what they steal--then make a decision on rather to shoot or not. If you break into my home in the middle of the night---you have bad intentions. Well, I mean, thats on you---not me.

On your drive back, go through Mountain Brook, a suburb of Birmingham. Median household income is north of $130k.
Yeah, I saw that. Also Vestavia Hills. Ranks 3rd in median income---$102, 000, behind Mountain Brook($152K). I always look this stuff up when deciding where to stop to eat, hotel, gas, etc, etc..

Best. Tits. Ever. Especially in Desperado... and the stripper scene in From Dusk til Dawn until she turned into a demon.

What a diva. The ghetto always has the best dive restaurants, btw.
When traveling....At home, I don't care to much. Big mistake can be getting off the exit, in a major/big city. pretty picky where I stsy overnight, when traveling.

Funny shit here. SO we are a few innings into our second game. In between innings, I hear not one, not two or three----but 5 fighter jets. I'm like WTF is going on? Why is no one else alarmed? Why are there fuking fighter jets flying so low?

Then I remembered---Eglin AFB is nearby.

This site use to have "the cost of stupidity" which was off the charts. In 2016 the hospital bills for gunshot wounds exceeded births. Seeing how this year is worst than 2016, I imagine it is the same story. Also, a person is shot every two hours and there is a death by homicide every 12 hours.... shit. So wish we could focus on real issues in this country.

So is Tyndall. I've worked temporary duty assignments at both back in the day.

Thanks for clearing that up for me.

Heres another hypo, what if some POS steps onto ur property and kicks ur dog, or throws rocks at it, physically harming the dog? Can u step in at that point or does it have to be harm towards a human?

That BBQ sandwich from the place on MLK Blvd (there is a MLK street in the ghetto of every big city) is worth a couple shanks to the torso.

Also try Gus's Chicken downtown next time in Memphis. Best chicken ever. Complete shit part of town next to Lorraine Motel. You might or might now have your car when you get back to it.

What's your thoughts on air rifles @brooky03 ? Put some pellets in their ass.

*Although that might not be smart b/c the Porch Pirate (is that ok to say), might have a gun in his hoodie pouch.

It's amazing how many jobs are out there. My wife sends out an email every week to her clients for job opportunities, I have her forward to me as well because it's helped in the past.

Anyways, this week it's almost 40 pages long. The first 2 pages are nothing but job fairs. I'm looking through it, and it's not fast food joints either. A lot of these are good paying jobs with no experience needed.

Here's the extent of Food service. I can't imagine how long it would be if it included FF places.
