Well if we can agree that the U19 team (invitees, too) wasn’t chosen by which players are the most talented then sweet. That’s been my question/point the entire time.

I would’ve guessed Mason would start most of our games this year despite the fact that his backups are much more talented. I wonder if he’ll be able to win back his starting role since he’s gonna miss a couple games.

It’s pretty evident that a coach/group of coaches building a team would take into consideration many factors. On the other hand a large % of fanboys are star struck. The goal of the national teams has never been assemble a team of “all stars” but to assemble an all star “team”. The former produces the unwatchable Mickey D and NBA all star games. The latter leads to a lot of gold medals for the US.

Dixon is a good HC. We saw him a bunch in the Big East. 328-123. 11 NCAA bids in 13 years. An Elite Eight and two other Sweet 16s. Won the Big East twice and BET once. Good coach.
I think Pittsburgh fans would take him back. Haven’t even made the tournament/won more than 16 games in a season since he’s left.
