Decent chance at it, yea. Will certainly be ranked higher than Illinois’s class. Is Indiana still getting a top 5 class?
0% it’s top 5.Decent chance at it, yea. Will certainly be ranked higher than Illinois’s class.
Where did I make that claim?0% it’s lower than Illinois.
Not even you are dumb enough to make a claim that far out there. I was just reminding you of where your recruiting is at under your savior.Where did I make that claim?
Your class would be 7th with Clowney right now.Not even you are dumb enough to make a claim that far out there. I was just reminding you of where your recruiting is at under your savior.
If/When Clowney commits IU will have a top 10 class and borderline top 5.
Lol I said borderline top 5. Also, I have no idea what I will do if we only have a top 10 class and not a top 5 class. It would be just awful….Your class would be 7th with Clowney right now.
Which if I’m correct would mean not top 5, and was my point from the very beginning.
That also doesn’t include other teams getting recruits. Like Michigan who will jump you when Juwan’s son commits.
Very likely it will be borderline top 10 by the end of the cycle, which again is not top 5 like you said.
Nice backtrack.Lol I said borderline top 5. Also, I have no idea what I will do if we only have a top 10 class and not a top 5 class. It would be just awful….
Lol even if you add Rogers your class won’t be 10-15.Nice backtrack.
Illinois will have a class in between 10-15, and yet they will produce better than your “borderline top 5” class, that’s actually ranked 11th or something by the end lol
I think it’s a better indicator to use apples to apples when comparing with teams are better in a conference.
What’s there to argue about? We both played similar competition, and we were better. We played each other head to head, and we were better. Why is that controversial?
Sheriff you like Kenpom right?
No, he likes whatever suits his narrative at that moment. Kenpom doesn't, so it's not important today.
Up until the tournament, yes. But not by much.
After the tournament, probably not. But again it wouldn’t be by much either way.
With Rodgers our class would be 11th (currently) and I’d bet we add at least one more guy.Lol even if you add Rogers your class won’t be 10-15.
Your class won’t be top when everything is finished. With Rodgers our class would be 11th (currently) and I’d bet we add at least one more guy.
Not sure who though.
That would be last year, which Howard would have an argument for.Yes even after the tournament, it was close. But I’m replying to a guy that said it isn’t Michigan “by any stretch of the imagination”. We literally won the conference (asterisk if you’d like), made it further in the tournament, and were rated better by Kenpom. You don’t have to stretch the imagination to take Michigan’s overall 2021 body of work.
I don’t remember him being a serious target. Wasn’t aware we even recruited him.Dillon Mitchell?
I’m pretty sure I said we’d get one of Whitmore or Rodgers a couple weeks ago.Your class won’t be top when everything is finished.
Your sudden confidence in Rodgers is that he is moving high schools to play for his AAU coach who is a friend of your third assistant?
That would be last year, which Howard would have an argument for.
2 years was what he was talking about.
KenPom is a another tool that we have to contextualize. Even he has said it’s not a measure of rank or who is better.Kenpom adjusts for strength of schedule. You know this and you cite Kenpom a lot. As you once said about Sheriff: it doesn’t fit your narrative here so you dismiss it.
Hey, you guys got your 3rd PG option and a barely top 150 PF.
They both say you were more efficient. Big difference. Two years ago we finished higher in both Kenpom and Torvik. It’s not crazy to say we were the better team that season.
Torvik:
Michigan - 14
Illinois - 29
Is that a stretch of the imagination to say Michigan was better overall in 2020? The two top analytics services both say that.
Michigan 2020
0-2 versus Illinois with a worse conference record and overall record.
Congrats on having a higher kenpom. Purdue fans will probably agree with you so their abysmal 2020 season can go overlooked.
19-12 and 10-10 in conferenceTwo years ago we finished higher in both Kenpom and Torvik. It’s not crazy to say we were the better team that season.

Why would you not use performance against the same opponents in conference and head to head to measure which is the better team?
2019-2020*
19-12 and 10-10 in conference
Or
21-10 and 13-7 in conference
Plus 2-0 head-to-head.
You’re measuring an average over an entire period. If you’re seeing how a new knee works, you probably discount the rehab. I like too see teams after they work out the kinks. Illinois was the better team to finish the season.Because it discounts like 40% of the season which can also used to evaluate who the better team is. If you just use conference games you are dismissing things like our 2020 Maui Invitational where we beat #1 Gonzaga by 18 and our Elite 8 run in 2021.
Those things matter when talking about how good a team was in a given year. Not just conference play.
They both say you were more efficient. Big difference.
247>>>>>>>>>rivals>>>ESPN247 has Glenn at 80. Rivals has Glenn at 77.
How do you rank the recruiting services that go into composite rankings?
I guarantee it. I don’t fight fair with some people because they don’t know better and that’s their job to figure out. KenPom is an efficiency measurement plain and simple.Permanent bet says I can kind a post where you cite a team as better by citing their Torvik or Kenpom rank. Accept?

Glenn is like AJ Casey and will continue falling
@NC_Trojan10We are in the final 2 for Cam Whitmore along with Villanova. Pretty confident we will get Ty Rodgers, if Whitmore passes
Like you said about Sheriff:I guarantee it. I don’t fight fair with some people because they don’t know better and that’s their job to figure out. KenPom is an efficiency measurement plain and simple.
We beat you with Livers, so that seems easy.I haven’t even asked to discount our literal rehab when Livers missed 6 weeks in 2020. Even when you include those 6 weeks he missed we were rated higher.

It’s important. It’s just not the end all be all. When I havebetter data points, I use those. Beating you 3x, winning more games, higher win percentage, better conference records all point to Illinois. You had more efficient seasons. I’ll give you that.Like you said about Sheriff:
“No, he likes whatever suits his narrative at that moment. Kenpom doesn't, so it's not important today.”

3 games is too small a sample size?Michigan was on the road that’s putting too much weight into small sample size head to head. Northwestern beat our team that played for a national title.
