OSU, Illinois, and Iowa ahead of MSU, Maryland, and Wisconsin yet the latter 3 have won the Big Ten in the past 2 years. I would say winning the conference and then having a mediocre year is better than having 2 good finishes, but to each their own.The only schools who can 'compete' with Michigan in the claim for 'best Big Ten the last two years' are Illinois, Iowa and OSU.
OSU was looking at a 5 seed in the 2020 NCAA and maybe they go to the S16. Michigan as a 6 seed maybe goes to the S16. Iowa as a 6 and Illinois as a 7 had no shot at S16 based on the lack of coaching ability in the tournament. Meanwhile MSU and Maryland were good in 2020 but average in 2021.
