I mean with the situation he inherited you knew he was going to get time. 6 years isn’t that crazy especially post-Hazell. But missing a bowl this year would certainly put him on the hot seat next year.

Should have been Cincy....Defense was really good tonight vs PSU....Iowa was a mess, but the "D" eventually settled down. Indiana's defense is banged up---but still playing decent enough. IF they can get anything going offensively, they shuld be OK.
The reality check is this----Indiana is not a Top 25 team. That is for sure. But to be fair, who else thus far had played 3 Top 5 teams, in their first 5 games?

You’ve definitely played a hard schedule no doubt. Sure you could’ve won the Cincy game but I could flip it and say you just as easily could’ve lost the WKU game too. You guys look nothing like the team from a year ago.

IU has had a decent defense and a shitty offense this season. Purdue has had a decent defense and shitty offense so far this year. Neither team can run the ball. It’s just funny Trojan is trying to throw haymakers when both teams are similarly power rated and have very similar projections for the rest of the year. (Insert quote about glass houses).
Good enough yeah. Not world beaters but plenty good enough. They’ve had us in position to win every game this year but the offense hasn’t done their part.

No this team isn't close to what it was(last year). Injuries have played some roles. But even then, guys like Fryefogel are dropping passes they caught with ease last year....OL is horrendous. If these dudes can beat MSU, certainly could change the season. Very winnable games vs Rutgers, Minny, MD and Purdue.

I'd say the one difference though, is Indiana has played a very tough schedule. I agree both are similar in the aspect of defense/offense. I thought with Carr, Indiana would run it a tad better. Still believe they could if Sheridan didn't choose to run up the fukin middle every single time. Get a dude like Carr out in the open, i.e. SWEEP, toss, anything but straight uo the gut every single time.

Purdue is crap overall just like last year. Karlaftis has never put up numbers to be considered a top 15 pick.
UConn & Illinois are garbage I agree. Oregon state hasn’t lost a game since they played Purdue and offense have been putting up numbers.
The only 2 above average offenses IU has played have been Cincinnati and Western Kentucky and they put up 69 points.
I think he has the potential to and I’ve seen him listed in some mock drafts that high. First rounder for sure.

Both rely on their defense, especially Iowa. Penn state is above average in passing (barely) and below average in rushing (by a lot). There’s a reason the sharps keep betting against Iowa. It’s just that Iowa’s defense keeps burning everybody with the pick 6’s and interceptions/fumble recoveries in general.

I just said they’ve been getting burned because Iowa’s defense continues to do its thing. Those same sharp bettors are benefitting from betting against IU’s season win total because of the expected turnover regression that was coming it’s way.
