I disagree. I'm way more skeptical. Fight me.And I'm agreeing. But maybe more skeptical than you at this point.

Without Cockburn yeah I think so, but with him they’re probably better.
It's not out of the realm of possibility, but I'm not predicting win totals until I see the schedule. So you must think Illinois is winning like 25 games this year?
That seems like a logical win total for a 2 seed right? It's not out of the realm of possibility, but I'm not predicting win totals until I see the schedule.
Cockburn is a beast and Curbelo is crafty as hell, but that lineup doesnt scream top 3 or even really top 5 in the conference on paper. You Illinois fans are acting very homeboardish with this one in not demonstrating any objectiveness here1. Curbelo
2. Frazier.
3. Hutcherson
4. Grandison
5. Cockburn
Off the bench, Plummer, Williams, Payne, and 3 freshman.
T-Rank #3 in the country. Pretty damn objective.Cockburn is a beast and Curbelo is crafty as hell, but that lineup doesnt scream top 3 or even really top 5 in the conference on paper. You Illinois fans are acting very homeboardish with this one in not demonstrating any objectiveness here
Holtmann is really good I think he’ll always have osu as top 20 team, I do wonder if he’ll ever be able to attract high level enough talent to make osu a true national title contender.I’ll ask you. What has he done to not deserve more recognition?
His first year Osu was considered an NIT team preseason and they were a 5 seed.
2nd year they were considered a stretch to be a CBI team in the preseason and they were a 10 seed
3rd year Osu was dominant and was #2 in the country before injuries slowed them down for about 4/5 weeks in January and February. Got healthy and were playing great before shutdown. They were a 3/4 seed according to most.
Last year they were a 2 seed despite more injuries.
Ughhhh where are you seeing that? Projection I saw had you at 26 without cockburn which I think is the pretty damn accurate. You’re top 15-20ish with him IMOT-Rank #3 in the country. Pretty damn objective.
I think they'd be top 5 in the league but not the country. Maybe that's what they've been arguing all this time. Top 5 or 10 in the conference. Now it all makes sense.Even with Kofi, I don’t think Illinois has a top 5 roster in the league tbh.
I love the support but could I ask why? Is there anyone you’re particularly high on?I personally like MSU more
How not?Even with Kofi, I don’t think Illinois has a top 5 roster in the league tbh.
Max Christie is going to be a D'Angelo Russell level player in my opinion. One and done.I love the support but could I ask why? Is there anyone you’re particularly high on?
I would guess he is high on Christie?I love the support but could I ask why? Is there anyone you’re particularly high on?
You can add him back to the team on t rank.Ughhhh where are you seeing that? Projection I saw had you at 26 without cockburn which I think is the pretty damn accurate. You’re top 15-20ish with him IMO
I also am high on Julius Marble as a low post scorerI love the support but could I ask why? Is there anyone you’re particularly high on?
Okay, I think Christie is a stud, but you lose me on Marble as a difference maker in this discussion.I also am high on Julius Marble as a low post scorer
Yeah he's not as highly touted as a D3 transferOkay, I think Christie is a stud, but you lose me on Marble as a difference maker in this discussion.
I mean he’s probably going to be fine, but I don’t foresee him being a guy that changes MSU’s projection significantly. It’s certainly possible, but I think unlikely.Yeah he's not as highly touted as a D3 transfer
He seems more likely than Hutcherson being a starterI mean he’s probably going to be fine, but I don’t foresee him being a guy that changes MSU’s projection significantly. It’s certainly possible, but I think unlikely.
Lol you know his coach is Tom Izzo right ?Max Christie is going to be a D'Angelo Russell level player in my opinion. One and done.
Izzo will berate him into coming back?Lol you know his coach is Tom Izzo right ?
I don’t know about the likelihood of Marble, but it sounds like it Hutcherson is healthy, he’s a no doubt starter. Underwood thinks he’s really good.He seems more likely than Hutcherson being a starter
Christie has also said he would be very open to staying multiple years. I’m sure UM fans would lose their minds.Lol you know his coach is Tom Izzo right ?
It worked with Bridges 🤣🤣Izzo will berate him into coming back?
Hahahaha OF COURSE HE SAID THATChristie has also said he would be very open to staying multiple years. I’m sure UM fans would lose their minds.
Kelvin Torbert was 20 years ago, can we give this up? Cassius and Tillman and Henry were 4 stars and NBA players, JJJ went 4th, Bridges went 12th. It’s a lazy narrative at this point.
Look who you’re talking to. Laziness isn’t the word.Christie has also said he would be very open to staying multiple years. I’m sure UM fans would lose their minds.

You’re off on Marble, Bingham is definitely better and will be the starter, and I could see Sissoko passing him on the depth chart. He seems more likely than Hutcherson being a starter
Depends , you also ha e to factor if teams will be allowed to duck teams and not play a full schedule etc…That seems like a logical win total for a 2 seed right?
I'd hope that anyone inheriting a program with Keita Bates-Diop, Kaleb Wesson, Andre Wesson, CJ Jackson, and Jae'Sean Tate would have more success than someone inheriting Trent Frazier, Leron Black, Mark Alstork, and Michael Finke. Underwood was rebuilding while Holtmann was maintaining. Big difference.
Underwood would have had a 5/6 seed and a 1 seed the past two seasons. That's pretty comparable to a 3/4 and a 2 seed. Like I said, he's right there with Holtmann, but Holtmann has finished below Underwood the past two years, and only finished 1 game up in their second year when Underwood completely blew up the roster and started over.
The spread on conf SOS's is so small that it is a decent indicator.
Yes.So you must think Illinois is winning like 25 games this year?
Lets see. MSU historically likes 2 bigs. Its worked for them and Izzo. I feel Marble is going to be a low post scorer. You’re off on Marble, Bingham is definitely better and will be the starter, and I could see Sissoko passing him on the depth chart.
Marble is an undersized 5 that doesn’t make up for it with great quickness and isn’t a great defender. He’s probably the best low post scorer out of the bigs but that’s not saying much as that’s something we lack in this roster.
I think Holtmann is an excellent coach. I just think he’s failed when he’s had the opportunity to take that next step. He’s going to be in the league for a long time, and I’m sure he will have his moments.Wr can agree to disagree.
