They were all to busy thinking Kofi was staying in the draft...Evidently so do most of the experts. Where do they have Illinois?

What if Iowa wins the conference? You'd hate for us to be closer to them.Put your money where your mouth is, I will avatar bet you on Richie’s take.
You won’t though, because you know it’s true.
You guys are gonna be the March thru early-July offseason champs.Evidently so do most of the experts. Where do they have Illinois?
So I take it your confidence is wavering? What if Iowa wins the conference? You'd hate for us to be closer to them.
You guys are gonna be the March thru early-July offseason champs.
We will be ranked ahead of you preseason and will be better this season.
Third best in conference is your upside in your best season for the foreseeable future.
Painter should’ve left when he had the chance, no upside at Purdue.
No it's a moving target. Being close to Iowa could be good or bad. Likely to be bad but it's not concrete. So I take it your confidence is wavering?
Not a surprise.
For a team that hasn't done anything in 16 years, you guys like to talk a lot of shit. Meanwhile, the teams that run this league will just sit here quietly while the puppies bite off more than they can chew.Painter should’ve left when he had the chance, no upside at Purdue.
It’s only a matter of time before Indiana starts taking it seriously and you hit the Wisconsin decline.
Sometimes you have to bottom out. Allows an easier reset to get where you should be. Illinois fans know that. For a team that hasn't done anything in 16 years, you guys like to talk a lot of shit. I think he gets a lot of respect, but he hasn't put together a complete roster yet. That's limited him from taking the next step. He inherited a good roster and finished 3rd in conference, then finished 8th, 5th, and 5th. I think he likely finishes at best 4th or 5th again this season, so I think calling him the 5th best coach in conference is pretty fair.
We've done more in our "decline" than you have in the last 16 years. Keep repeating the same tired shit we've heard for 20 years.Sometimes you have to bottom out. Allows an easier reset to get where you should be. Illinois fans know that.
You won’t ever bottom out with Gard. He’s like Bruce Weber, get ready for a solid 8 to 10 years of mediocre play. Easy to see where you are trending to.
We’re better than you now and have been historically. We've done more in our "decline" than you have in the last 16 years. Keep repeating the same tired shit we've heard for 20 years.
Lol. ****ing as delusional as Iowa fans. We’re better than you now and have been historically.
Keep holding onto arbitrary timeframes that fit your narrative. Doesn’t change the fact your are trending into mediocrity, while we will be at the top.
What has he done to deserve it? Gard has accomplished more than Holtmann.
Trending towards mediocrity stings, I’ve seen the signs before.Lol. ****ing as delusional as Iowa fans.
Yup, conference championships suck.Trending towards mediocrity stings, I’ve seen the signs before.
Sorry the truth hurts.
Had the most wins in the regular season and won the BTT. What’s your point here?Yup, conference championships suck.
He's looked impressive, then not so much. Good coach but not top of the top yet. Like others have said, there's plenty of competition in the B1G these days. I doubt anyone stays at the top for too long.I’ll ask you. What has he done to not deserve more recognition?
His first year Osu was considered an NIT team preseason and they were a 5 seed.
2nd year they were considered a stretch to be a CBI team in the preseason and they were a 10 seed
3rd year Osu was dominant and was #2 in the country before injuries slowed them down for about 4/5 weeks in January and February. Got healthy and were playing great before shutdown. They were a 3/4 seed according to most.
Last year they were a 2 seed despite more injuries.
Conference championships don't equal mediocrity or a decline. But you ****ing pea brains wouldn't get that.Had the most wins in the regular season and won the BTT. What’s your point here?
He doesn’t have one, they aren’t going to be winning the conference anytime soon.Had the most wins in the regular season and won the BTT. What’s your point here?
You’re rightConference championships don't equal mediocrity or a decline. But you ****ing pea brains wouldn't get that.
Ummm......look at the history. Wisconsin basketball is not very good when Bo Ryan( maybe one of the greatest coaches in League history) isn’t on the sidelines...Lol. ****ing as delusional as Iowa fans.
Missing the tourney, making it, winning a game. Upward trend. You’re right
23-11 (14-6)
21-10 (14-6)
18-13 (10-10)
Yup that screams an upward projection
He's looked impressive, then not so much. Good coach but not top of the top yet. Like others have said, there's plenty of competition in the B1G these days. I doubt anyone stays at the top for too long.
You guys must **** like bunnies in FIB land.Ummm......look at the history. Wisconsin basketball is not very good when Bo Ryan( maybe one of the greatest coaches in League history) isn’t on the sidelines...
Evidently so do most of the experts (I still would put us 12-15 personally). Where do they have Illinois?
Good job deflecting. E8 runs can’t be discounted. You are such an idiot.Purdue fans lost in the first round to North Texas. And you think Purdue should be a preseason top 10 team lol
Big brain move by IU to bottom out so you have the chance to hire a competent coach.Pretty big brain shit by Archie and IU to just miss the tourney altogether. We don’t have to deal with this nasty tourney shaming.
If anyone knows anything about bottoming out lately. it'd be Illinois. Power bottom w/ Iowa.Big brain move by IU to bottom out so you have the chance to hire a competent coach.
LmfaoIllinois will be a higher seed than both. Take that shit to the bank.
Purdue fans are really confident for a 4 seed with their only impressive 2 wins being against OSU.Lmfao
Illinois’ floor is a 2 seed next year, barring injury to Kofi or Curbelo. If anyone knows anything about bottoming out lately. it'd be Illinois. Power bottom w/ Iowa.
If I was a gambling man…oh wait, I gamble a lot…Illinois will not have better odds in a few days or even a weekGive it a couple days, Illinois will be top 2 with Michigan odds wise.
Keep the delusion high. It's better that way. Makes the explanation post season more fun and enjoyable for the rest of us.Illinois’ floor is a 2 seed next year, barring injury to Kofi or Curbelo.
Wisconsin will be lucky to make the tourney.
They just keep sprouting. Someone needs to burn the field.Another one? ****ing A, @Jaycg15, mind the ****ing gates.
I will be waiting, remember when I was an idiot for telling you all Kofi was coming back to college?Keep the delusion high. It's better that way. Makes the explanation post season more fun and enjoyable for the rest of us.
Let’s make a bet about next season. I predict Purdue has better conference record and seed.Purdue fans are really confident for a 4 seed with their only impressive 2 wins being against OSU.
Especially after that first round exit. Lol
Find one where I said it…I will be waiting, remember when I was an idiot for telling you all Kofi was coming back to college?
I can dig through the posts if you’d like?
