The back up punter ran his mouth about Durkin at practice and got his ass beat. The players that walked out of the team meeting the day before were Edsall guys. Most of the players actually liked Durkin.
Well he should have ran his mouth. The shame is the players that actually supported Durkin and the Maryland administration. Durkin is a POS that should have been fired in the first place.
While I agree that he should have been fired. I think the players will have more knowledge of the daily happens then you ***git.

I have sympathy. This happens to MSU all the time with the big boys. We put in a lot of work and get in on them early and recruit them hard, but then a Duke or UK swoops in and it all goes to waste

He’s the one of three of the 5 star big men we are after I think we are least likely to get. And the one that is ranked the lowest. Would love to get him, but I think he’s IU bound.
zeke nnaji is taking his official visit to purdue this weekend, but i'd be shocked if we got him. other than that, none that i know of for 2019
IU freshman were really solid tonight. Anderson with 14...Phinisee and Langford with 13. Also, Anderson 4-5 from three. Told you guys he could shoot. Langford also with 6 rebounds and 5 steals.
Langford will be real solid on defense

Rob was really strong. I liked the sequence in the 2nd half where we got a little fast, truned it over, with some sloppy play. Ensuing possession, Phin slows it down, gets the team organized. That was impressive. I've said since the spring, he's a perfect fit. And that eventually he would start(PG). Seems that may come sooner, opposed to later.
Langford's defense was questioned. I've seen this kid play for years. Tried to tell folks he was better defensively than most felt. SHowed that tonight. Offensively his shot selection has to improve. And he's gotta learn that those soft, lazy passes won't cut it at this level.
All in all, a solid showing from our freshman class.

The story is now being refuted by multiple players that what the back up punter said happened is false and that the fight that did take place didn’t even have to do with the Durkin situation.
Yes. Big10 Plus. I do not recommend. Awful coverage. Clock was either wrong, or not moving most of the time. Score was often wrong. One announcer. ANd often he was late getting on the air; game would be going for about 10 seconds or so, and he'd finally be like---"Welcome back to Assembly Hall............."Laughing
But hey, for $10 bucks a month, it is what it is. I'll keep it until IU's last game on there, then cancel.

Not a better roster but I do hope they have more team chemistry. MSU won a lot of games by pure talent but didn’t look great as a “team”.
I’d like to see my off the ball movement and guys just getting open for shots rather than the “give it to Will” (Bridges/JJJ) offense that we saw last year.
I agree with this. Sometimes expiercene trumps talent. No doubt last years team was more talented, but we have a more experienced team this year, and I’ll guess we to the Sweet 16 this year.
Defensively we’ll fall off, but our offense could still be very good.

Izzo imo still hasnt done a great job of adapting to the modern 'spread em out small ball style' type of game that has taken over college hoops.
Seems like Izzo is adjusting to the other teams style instead of vice versa.

Holy crap I didn't realize the rest of Purdue's team went 0-20 from 3pt range. That's, uh, not very good.
there seems to be some sentiment that Purdue is a real dark horse according to Corey Evans and our writer, but Kansas looms large.

But I feel that there's about a 5% chance that we'll beat out a final 5 that consists of Kansas, Arizona, Baylor and UCLA.
