That team had the actual NPOY in Frank Mason III along with Josh Jackson. Purdue was heavily outmatched talent-wise and Kansas was hitting everything.

Ahrens. He will be eligible to grad transfer. Not saying Izzo would force him out but he could go elsewhere and be a bigger contributor and pursue a masters degree as well.
Yeah with Brooks the new flavor is always the school he just last visited. He is very complimentary of every school so people get excited. IT will be UNC this weekend and then MSU two weeks after that. With that MSU visit so late I would be surprised if he has a decision before the end of the signing period on the 21st.

We have 12 on scholarship this season, so 1 open spot. 2 seniors will graduate (Goins, McQuaid). That's 3 spots available. 4 if Ward goes pro / someone transfers. 5 would require 2 people to leave early.
I have feeling Stewart ends up at Washington. He is very close with Hopkins.
Ward might go pro and ahrens doesn’t have a guaranteed spot next year due to it being a 5th year.
I assume with these wings coming in and the ones already on the team he’s a grad transfer anyways with or without ward.
Technically since scholarships are 4 year commitments we have 2 spots still left with the option of giving ahrens an extra year on scholarship.
I don’t see ahrens here next season.
He’s played a handful of games his entire career at MSU. If we have the spot and he’s fine on the bench he might stay.
You can oversign by as many as you want as long as you have a "vague" explanation for how that scholarship will be available.
Maybe he did know how unbearable he was to be around.

Nice pull for MSU. 2 top 50ish players already in the fold. If we can add Carey/Stewart to the class I’d be ecstatic.
MSU is still very much recruiting Keion Brooks, he is our plan A, but it’s he’s to imagine it doesn’t slightly hurt our chances. Malik and him play the same position and MSU is already pretty deep at his position, with Henry, Brown Kithier, Bingham, possibly Ahrens, and now Hall. He would still get minutes, but not whole lot.
