I think you could move Indiana higher than number 6 in facilities. Lots of facility upgrades happening at Indiana.

I think that's generally the case everywhere though. Illinois is doing the same. I believe I read Iowa is doing some. Northwestern is doing some. Those are just off the top of my head.

Many people forget about the fabled team of 06-07? It's been over 10 years ago. Such history. Such tradition.

Yeah, it gets almost no exposure because their basketball fan base really is shit. If Illinois or Iowa had what they have, we'd be like the Purdue fans on here but worse.
Also, love in that article that some coach that pretty much said Illinois needs to cheat more. Can't say I disagree.

I dont get how recruiting proximity is so different for IU and Purdue. I know they don’t go for all the same guys but don’t they both go after a lot?
With Archie on board yes and not many teams have back to back 5 stars within an hour to their campus like Indiana.
Purdue is in the same state though. I mean I get there being a little difference like Indiana is 4 and Purdue is 6. I don’t get how Purdue is 10.

Well I mean Purdue barely gets courtesy visits from in-State five stars unless their guardian went there so that is probably why.

I'm biased b/c I'm from WL and I still think it's a mediocre at best college town.
I can't claim to know the thought process there, but the IU name and tradition alone widens their recruiting base. And if you've spent much time in Indiana, you'd know how much more pro-IU basketball sentiment there is throughout the state.
For a while it seemed like Purdue was actually recruiting better out of state (Carsen, Vince, Dakota, and Haas were all out of state guys).
But the state of Indiana is still a hot bed for talent, so that's strange.

There's really no justification for the large discrepancy tbh. NW and Rutgers are top on the list due to their proximity to recruits, not because they land or even get visits from elite recruits.

Right. I mean UM and MSU are tied at 7, which I like. I get NW being a step above Illinois because they are “Chicago’s Big Ten team”, but those two should be right next to each other.
What were you expecting to learn? Not trolling, honest question. I always thought this was just an update on each team and nothing really in depth.
We have a clown freaking out because Archie said “We have a long way to go to become a competitive Big Ten team right now, a lot of growing up to do." Which is the norm for this particular poster, but still hilarious.
Yeah 10 for Purdue for recruiting territory is a headscrather for sure. No idea how they came up with that.

we had a guy freak out b/c Painter said he doesn't know where Wheeler fits in, which Painter is saying just to motivate the kid and promote competition and such.
He's super negative guy. Hates Fred Glass. Nothing is ever good enough. One of those. I am sure just about every board has one.

yep, we have a bunch of those guys. and for as negative as they are, for some reason believe that Purdue has no excuses to not be elite across the board in athletics. just seems like such a strange juxtaposition to be so positive about the school itself but so negative about every team, player and coach.
The Purdue crew on here would recognize the play on a poster we are all painfully familiar with the handle "Boilersallthewaynow". I think he actively roots against Painter so he can be proven right.
