That's both crazy, and extremely sad! I've never been, but its disappointing to hear that the most powerful country this world has ever seen can be seen in 2 days. I would have hoped that there was so much to see and do, it'd be impossible to see and experience everything during a single trip.

To me it tells you more about the entire country of Italy than it does Rome. You could spend 10 days in Rome and be just fine but there’s so much in that country to see I think you’d be doing yourself a disservice to spend more than a few days in Rome. Almalfi coast, Pompeii, Venice, Florence, Milan, etc there’s just so many places and things to see.

Typically, I'm not a huge history person, but it's got to be so cool to live in an area that has so much history. Its something Americans will never experience it at that level because we're such a young country.

We only offered 20K for De Sousa. Fvcking cheap ass Plank.

Where the **** is all that TV money going if their only offering a measly 20k? I think someone should start an investigation about why you can only afford to offer 20k!

Debbie Yow bankrupted our athletic department and then put herself in the Athletic HoF. She can drop dead.
Hmmm...I read where she cut Marylands debt from $51 million, to like $ 6 million.

Barry Gossett, the number one donor to Maryland athletics summarized the progress in Maryland athletics during Yow's tenure, "She inherited a difficult situation when she came in as far the debt and a lot of programs that were under-performing. She was able to make some necessary changes in staff, and she has really put a new face on the athletic department. She accepted the challenge as the school improved its rankings across the board... She has done a great job.

Alright now...What's the real reason?

Not sure what all happened at Maryland, but this sounds similar to Purdue's previous president - France Cordova - who was running things when BTN started, and routed all the annual money out of the athletic department and into the school's general fund. Which was a ridiculous, and expensive, decision to make for an athletic department that already struggles to keep up from a resource standpoint with the conference's big hitters.

Thankfully Mitch Daniels and Mike Bobinski have flipped things in a hurry.

Honestly majority of the people there are so used to it. Just like people in Boston, Philly, etc.

Yeah, about 5 minutes after I hit send on that post I thought about that. Growing up in Indiana, I always thought the coolest thing ever would be to live near the ocean. I figured I'd be down there every free second I had.

However, when I moved my wife and kids down there and we lived 3 minutes from Clearwater beach in Florida for 7 years....we went to the beach 2 times during those 7 years lol. Hell, the only reason we went twice is because we had family down who wanted to do the beach thing.

When something is a part of your everyday lives, it quickly loses its luster.

On a much smaller scale that’s why I will never buy a ping pong table or pool table unless you just need something of size to take up space. The thought is great but in the long run they are just big decorations.

I grew up in Indiana and wanted to live in the mountains, I live in North Bend, WA now and I'm on the trails almost every chance I get.

Grew up in Indiana, moved to Chicago after graduation. Came to Boulder for a wedding and instantly knew I wanted to move out here. Can't get enough now.

Boulder snags all the Cools.

That's why my husband won't take me there.

Always nice when the 8th best ranked RB decommits from Ohio State and looks to be committing to IU.

Tack him on with TJD in the next 11 days or so should be a good couple of weeks for IU sports on the recruiting trail.

Wonder what the real reason was for decommitting from OSU.

Love it. We’ve done a good job of getting offensive talent into the league over the last several years. Not surprised we’re getting some good recruits offensively.
