*Official* B1G Off-season Thread

@bMORE607

It's much easier to pick winners in football.

Let's make a game of it. You pick the straight up winner for every MLB game over the next 10 days. I will match that for NFL games for however many games that is. I'd be utterly shocked if you picked more correct than me and that is with you having a full season of MLB data to reference and me only having a couple weeks of NFL data.

@bMORE607

And if you don't want to do your picks vs my picks, we can use a sportsbook and see which sport the favorite wins in more over that stretch. There is no doubt in my mind it will be football.

Am I picking every game or just picking 16 since thats all your doing?

Also are you doing money line or spread?

You do every game for 10 days and then I’ll do however many nfl weeks to equal that many.

Money line, since my thesis is that picking winners is more random in baseball.

I’m not even sure this will prove anything because it’s a small sample but it’s something to do I guess

Here's a tip for you fellow gamblers. Look for reverse line movement. And the SF Giants have been on an incredible under the total lately, especially home night games.

Besides some recruiting visits it’s a quiet period until practice starts in a couple weeks

Look at you trying to talk about basketball here.....get that shit out of here lol. If you want to talk about basketball, I suggest you should go to a thread that's dedicated to basketball.

Baseball gambling?? Damn, offseason drags forever. Especially when football is determined to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory every got dam week

LOL at you ***gits complaining about the lack of basketball talk. Your fan bases pollute this thread with the bullshit bickering about which school sucks more.

You seem extra salty today. No reach around from the bf last night?

Yea sure, I’m the salty one. You woke up and decided to bitch about what me and Hail were talking about
last night. Go back to your home board and take like half these morons that keep getting trolled by SNU with you.

Purdue doing an in home visit with Brandon Newman tomorrow. With Xavier picking up a top 100 guard Dahmir Bishop, hopefully that is enough to push Newman to commit. Painter needs all the help he can get.

Not remotely shocking that the 247 lemmings all have Crystal Ball picks for Purdue for Malik Hall coming off his official visit there over the weekend. I wonder how many will change once he makes his next official visit.

At least Snow flipped to Purdue a month ago.

Yeah unless the guy is about to decide in the coming days it doesn't matter. See Carton or Franklin for recent recruits. Purdue has been seen as one of the favorites for awhile, so its never a bad thing to pick up some votes. Just have to close.

Snow is forced to make crystal ball picks by his employer.

I am also surprised Newman hasn't popped yet. I think Xavier took a hit getting that Top 100 CG commitment. We have heard Newman could be open to additional offers, so will be interesting to see where that goes. He only had four OVs lined up and has only taken two, so he could expand the list if he wanted to.

Can't recruits take more than five official visits now? Am I making shit up or did I read that somewhere. I thought that was part of the new rules changes. Could totally be wrong on that, too.

Hmmm... apparently my post was cut off. Either way, it's still just 5 per year his junior and senior year. Then, a player will have 5 additional ones to use throughout his college career incase theres a reason to transfer.

I believe that started with the 2020 class not 2019. Could be wrong though.

In terms of being open to additional offers, my guess is it’d have to be schools relatively close to Valpo due to his mom’s health.

Potentially yeah. He obviously moved home from Florida for her health. Orlando is way, way down there from Valpo, so only he could answer how far he would want to go away and still feel comfortable. Also is it something where is Mother could get better and that no longer becomes an issue.

You:
7-3

Me:
1-0

I think that settles it. NFL is 100% accurate. Moving on.

Another "under" cashes on the Giants game last night. Almost too easy. Unders are 18-2-1 last 21 games overall.
