***Official B1G In-Season Thread***

I stand by my comment they 5th seed is better than 4th.

I’d much rather get a win vs Minnesota then a chance to beat Iowa again than just a chance to beat Iowa again
Sure but Minnesota isn’t a guaranteed win for us so I’d rather play Illinois right away who’s better

Fran is going to have to do a good job of not letting his guys look past Minnesota to the Illinois rematch. Its a classic trap game. Minnesota has talent and have lost a lot of close games.

Hopefully Iowa will be tired and sore from a close game with minny. We should be very fresh. Hopefully not rusty

Perhaps it was when they did really early rankings of guys. I remember Basil Smotherman being a 5* after his freshman year haha.
Same with Colin Hartman. May have been that ranking way early but didn’t end up at that level. Good players. Nowhere near 5* by the time they hit college.

I fvcking hate Purdue.

Is Potter a 6th man? If so, Im going with him. But honestly I dont know if he is still coming off of the bench.

You’re not wrong
again being the total ass, this is the best seed Iowa has received, going from 10-10 6th alone to 11-9 T-5th. his best season of coaching a depleted roster, even before the season began, this was the biggest question mark that Fran had to answer.

who was going to replace these
JR Cook EE to the NBA
RSJR Moss GT to Kansas
RSSR Baer one of the best 6th man in the league.

people were predicting 10 wins max for the season. 10th place or worse in the BT. it got worse when they lost to DePaul and Nunge was lost for the season.

NOBODY saw Garza doing what he has done this season W/O him this team finishes in the bottom 4 of the BT.
NOBODY saw what Fredrick has done for this team. again W/O Fredrick replacing Moss they are not in the position they are in.

alot of posters on the Iowa msg board wanted Connor to go play BB as they said he was not a D1 BB player and he ended up with the best assist to T/O ratio not only the BT but in D1 BB.
Kriener did his best in imitating Baer.

We beat you, secured a double bye, and finished 4th in the league. You guys lost to us, lost the double bye, and finished below us.

I don't care about Garza. He had a good year, but we were better.
you only split with Iowa and broke a 5 game losing streak, better than Iowa is questionable.

Jacob Young should get 6th man of the year solely for putting Haarms on a poster Saturday. He was pretty good for us this season too. Averaged over 9ppg and was one of our two or three best defensive players.

Huh? Why would an IU fan be salty about Gard winning?

My guess is that he meant Illinois. Not sure why we’d care either, I don’t think anyone would really debate Gard winning it is fair.

HaHaHa. Dumbass Graham Couch voted Cassius Winston to the 2nd team All Big Ten.

What a tool!!

Toussaint will be more mature going into the season and pro
Double bye says otherwise.
only in the standing and nothing more. but I wonder how Illinois had fared if they lost Ayo for the season? probably no better than NW or at best Minnesota. stop crowing after you 1st victory in 6 try's.
