Iowa is soft. They suck at playing through contact and they have for years. That’s why as games get more physical as the season goes on, Iowa fades away. Part of why when some in here say Iowa will challenge next year, I’m hesitant to agree

Pretty sure I read where Bossi had commented on this, when Galloway was a soph. Or after his soph year. Cannot recall.
Perhaps it was when they did really early rankings of guys. I remember Basil Smotherman being a 5* after his freshman year haha.

No remember he kicked his foot out in disgust about not getting a call and so they T’d him up. Turge got a couple techs following that incident cuz he thought the refs weren’t calling anything for Cowan because he showed displeasure for the no call.
Possible. But, I mean, if this team could just finish teams off, they would have been 12-8 in the conference. But they didn't,so they're not. In other words, IU was a play here or there away from being a Top 5'ish team in the conference.
Anyways----Big year for Miller next year. And that is what I meant by---"Next yer is THE year for Miller". Meaning,this type of finish probably isn't going to end well for him.

Everyone can play the what if game. We should have won the league by two games. That was easy. That’s Iowa loser talk though. IU needs to be better than that and go out and prove it. Sustain it.

Last OSU game, I wanna say about 2 weeks ago. Cowan fouled out on the tech with like 5 minutes remaining
I like the kid. Probably not a Day 1 guy. But certainly a kid that will be a very good, 4 year guy. Tough kid. Physical. Good defender. Decent shooter. I like the class of he, Leal and Lander----And Geronimo.
Its not a what if game. Just a fact. IU is just as close to being a 4th place team, than they were being 11th. The league was tough. Sucks we blew leads to you guys and MD. Two games IU controlled late, and let them get away.
I don't have a say in how long Miller is here. I doubt its a 9 year stay, if the results are the same. Next year is big for him. Mostly his guys. Plus, in all likelihood, he'll have two, 5* kids on the roster. A lot returning. a 19, 20 win----8, 9 or 10 seed in the NCAAT, IMO,would be bad. IU's in a tough spot next year. IMO, you either have to extend him, or, well it creates trouble. Will be interestig.

No. He'll get next year. BUT---IMO, he;d have to have a very good year 4. I see no scenario where Miller isn't at IU next year. Not even if they were to lose to NB, then lose a 1st rd. NIT/NCAA game.
I stand by my comment they 5th seed is better than 4th.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see Minnesota win that game. They aren’t Nebraska/Northwestern.
Iowa is the linchpin of this conference.

It’s exactly a what if game. You weren’t close to 4th. You were 11th. Those are facts. You were 4 games out of 4th and squarely in 11th. Just own it.
I think you probably got it from Minnesota originally since they chant their hatred of Iowa no matter who they're playing. The enemy of my enemy is my next enemy after I vanquish this one kinda thing.
