So because they called two bad fouls on Wesson early they should have just kept doing it because it helped Illinois get a lead?

Bad fouls? Wesson would have fouled out in the first half it it was called fairly.

We got called 22 times. You got called 12. We couldn’t play our bigs at all. When we could we were dominant. Zebras took control.

You had 20 more FT than us lol

Not. A. Single. One. Of. Those. Bands.

In fact I didn’t even know hippie country was a thing. I guess the Zak Brown Band might fall into that hippie country stuff? Is that the same genre? Are they too mainstream?

No idea. Not much of a country music fan in general.

So, Iowa and Illinois winner gets the last double bye no matter what?
Basically. But if Illinois, MSU, and Maryland wins and Wisconsin loses, then Illinois is the 3 seed and Wisconsin is the 4. I have no idea what would happen under that scenario if Iowa wins, it depends on your head to head with each other.

We’re 2 games ahead of Iowa. Only Illinois has a chance of getting a better seed than ours.

Gotta say, I’ve never heard of any of that weird shit.
I think the term “weird” is way off base. Take someone like Gary Clark Jr. He is 100% traditional rock and roll.

Edit: Plus, you guys have never heard of the Black Keys, Leon Bridges, or Alabama Shakes? Where have you been living?

Just us folks that are big into hippie country (?) know who they are.

GG to ILL. Just got back from it. Actually had good seats this game about 10 rows back. You can really see how physical the B1G is. Wow. 11 of 13 to closing out. Nice after such a horrible start to B1G.

actually he wants more mid majors in that have better records, in away I agree no way should Purdue be in the conversation for a NCAAT bid.

10 teams from one conference is to many, when there are teams with 23 or more wins that will get left out because of that,
We wiped the floor with your shitty team twice. Purdue isn't there yet, but saying they shouldn't be in the conversation is dumb as hell. Iowa going to choke in the second round as usual.

Illinois shot 13 more FT's than IU....25-12. I doubt you were bitching about, "fair: that day, huh?

There's a homeboard take/poll on the payboard where one Iowa fan was asking (if Illinois had won tonight) if we should rest Garza, Fredrick, and Wieskamp because our game @ Illinois would be a "meaningless dubya" since we would have been eliminated from a double bye. A meaningless quad 1 game a week before teams are selected and seeded. A meaningless opportunity to work on good play against a good opponent. To get extra rest for a neutral court game (which is a minimum of 4 days after Illinois). Some people make this too complicated.

maybe in your warped world.

this is not FB, THIS is BB where each team has 13 scholarships, ussually a team will sign 3 maybe 5 at most, with over 500 D1 BB recruits 500 devided by 3 = 166 D1 Teams that get those players and even a 5 to 1 that still makes 100 D1 teams,

your notion of the P5 teams being the only ones that get the top talent is flawed, even the 5* Players are gobbled up by the select few, leaving the lesser P5 teams scrambling to get what they can.

Iowa is 1st and Illinois is 2nd in Ref bitching.

Iowa and Illinois posters - let this sink in and then please...

Never change Iowa fans. Never change.

Have to be tougher on the road. The foul disparity was a joke, but we needed to rebound better. Took way too many threes. Sunday should be fun. Hopefully we get homer calls and dominate Iowa.
They definitely made the plays in the second half. There's no denying that. The fouls took away our defense, but they didn't keep us from boxing out.

If you go back to my posts you’ll see I did admit the refs screwed the pooch multiple times down the stretch of that game

Both IU and OSU out boarded us. Not sure what the deal has been in that regard

I really don't want Purdue to play UM a third time, but it looks like that's going to be the path if they are going to get an at-large berth.

That’s where Archie Miller is doing it right. Potential 11-14 against Nebraska and then Iowa and then Illinois.

I personally like that set up vs playing Ohio State or Michigan in the second round

I do think it's tough to beat a team three times in one season. I would bet that game is really close one way or another.
