***Official B1G In-Season Thread***

Eastern has yet to shoot a free throw this year...that amazes me as a lead guard

Yeah i thought that was one of his strengths. What he lacked in 3pt shooting that helped make up the difference.

so you are claiming that everyone lied about Garza had a 9 lb cyst removed?
maybe just maybe they used that picture to show people just how big a 9 lb cyst looks like that was taken out of Garza. it doesn't matter Garza did have a cyst removed from his abdomian/stomach on Oct 28 of 2018 right after Practice started and then played in the exhibition game,
then was named the MVP in their Preseason Tournament where they beat UConn and Oregon.

9 NCAA Tournament wins (2017-2019) > any player in Iowa history
the teams under O'Connor disagree as they had back to back FF trips finishing 3rd the 1st year and then 2nd the 2nd,

even Lute reached the FF
the never in Iowa's history just shows your ignorance,

and tourney wins does not make Teske better than Garza,
the head to head is a good start then the stats come in next. in this case the head to head Garza>Teske then the stats Garza>Teske.

Garza>Teske as Garza has been constant DBL Digit score all 3 years he has been here but not Teske
FR 3.4 PPG non starter
SO 9.5 PPG starter
JR 17 PPG 10 RPG
Garza
FR 12.1 PPG starter
SO 13.1 PPG starter
JR 17 PPG 10 RPG.

here is the truth Teske wasn't even on the team for the NCAAT FF
he was on it for to 18

so he was part of 7 NCAAT wins not 9. duke is showing his ignorance again and you sucker enough to follow him like a little lemming off the cliff

How many NCAA wins does Iowa have in Teske's lifetime?
can't use the NCAAT s that is a team accomplishment not a individual accomplishment that is based on seeding
Iowa 7 seed won their 1st game then lost to #2 seed Gonzaga
Iowa 7 seed won their 1st game then lost to #2 seed Villinova who won the NCAAT Championship
Iowa #10 seed won their 1st game vs #7 seed Cincinnati then lost to #2 seed Tennessee in OT

that makes 3 times where they lost to the #2 seed
2 of those #7 seeds Iowa finished in 3rd with a 12-6
the 3rd they went 10-10 finishing in 6th and received a 10 seed not exactly a seed that results in more than one win in the NCAAT. Now does it.

what were Michigan's seeds? then lets talk about those wins.

JTFC, suck it up and beat someone some time. Then talk. We beat #2 Xavier as #7 in 2016 and #1 overall Nova as #8 in 2017. It's not that tough.

Nice try. Most wins in a 4-year period by Iowa is 8, from 1980-1983. Michigan has won 9 NCAAT games in the last 3 years.

It doesn't. Just thought it was quick way to shut you up. But for the record, Teske is better than Garza.

So Iowa wasn't any good in the regular season, and had bad seeds, got it.

Teske has been on Michigan for 9 tournament wins.

2 in 2017
5 in 2018
2 in 2019
Teske is a JR So his 1st year was the 17-18 season
2nd season was 18-19 so he has been here since then and only played in 2 count them TWO NCAAT.

the 1st season he was a non factor as he in 17-18 did this by being the 7th man in scoring tied with Livers in 41 games
12.3 mpg, 3.4 ppg, with 26 blocks so don't even try to say he was part of the 16-17 season where Michigan reached the sweet 16

Garza's FR season was in the 17-18 season where he did this in 33 games
12.1 ppg, 6.4 rpg and 32 blocks

Teske is still < then Garza, also Teske is 7'2 vs Garza who is 6'11 a full 3" 's taller.

a quick google search would tell you Teske is a senior. But why start with facts?

Safe to say the best Coach's Kid to ever play at Iowa?
since the other coaches other than lick before Fran never had their kids play for them then yes but as for Connor and Patrick they are just getting started, as for lil lick his father ran players of and all he had left was his so, lick won 15 BT games in 3 years and had 3 straight overall losing seasons,
that Fran had to rebuild this team from, to make matters worse were the Indiana Golden Boy steve alford had 3 BT season of .500 or better in his 7 years and just 1 NCAAT WIN in 3 tries with his biggest failure coming in that 05-06 season where they got a #3 seed and lost in the 1st round to a 13 seed, that team won 25 games.

plus the Pierce Fiasco where stevie boy allowed a sexual assaulter to play for him, this pissed a lot of the fans off to the point than the attendence was cut from 15,000 to 7,500 then under lick the attendance dropped to between 5,500 and 6,000

Fran not only had to rebuild the team from the basement up but he also had to build the fan base back up as well,

no fans support = very little recruit draw
yes its taken 7 years to get the top recruits just to look at Iowa, players like these
top rated TJD visited and made his top 5 before choosing Indiana
top rated Cook #38 by ESPN who chose Iowa chose Iowa in 2016
4* Garza DC Chose Iowa in 2017
4* William chose Louiville

even this year
Garcia visited on his dime
Hughley going to Pitt
Dainja visited on his dime going to Baylor
Suggs at one time was very high on Iowa has they had offered a ride and a chance to play both QB in FB and on the BB team now looks like he will play BB only at Gonzaga

10 years ago these players would say Iowa WHO now they are at least giving Iowa a look.

this is where getting these as the instate players to commit are important
Jordan 4* by ESPN
Connor top 100 4* by ESPN 4* by Rivals
Wieskamp top 100 4* by ESPN and Rivals
Patrick top 100 4* by ESPN and Rival
was so important
losing Foster is not really a big loss.
Foster wants to play on the perimiter while Iowa needs a wide body big.

its all about filling the teams need before you go star hunting when looking at the commits.

one of the biggest complaints on Hawkeye Nation and HR is that this team is to white to be fast or athletic, the 20 class has 5 AA making the 20-21 team make up of 6 AA 1 Mixed race and 6 white players.
