In Izzo’s 25 years here he has never had a losing conference record and that held true today. Another year with this win.

ESPN updated the Bubble Watch tonight.
They moved Michigan State to lock status and kept Iowa at "Should Be In" so they could crack a joke about Iowa's defense.......that's literally why they did that.
That and they also disagree with the mock brackets that have Iowa as a 6 seed, because they keep bringing up that the mock brackets have had Iowa as a 6 seed........

Congrats to Iowa last night. They really played well and Garza was excellent.
Pretty heroic of Isaiah Livers to come back from injury tomorrow afternoon and drop 20 points and five threes on Purdue in a win at Mackey.

I'm not a fan of Izzo (mostly fueled by jealousy, of course), but starting Hoibergs kid was a really cool thing to do. Kudos to him.
Starting to look more and more like Garza will be the NPOY. Obi Toppin would be my #2 guy at this point. Payton Pritchard and Devon Dotson have an outside shot, but they will need to be near flawless in the next month.

Very possible. Still has to win it this year, first. Hansbrough won NPOY in 2008, returned in 2009, but didn't have a dominant enough season to overtake Blake Griffin. Hansbrough is the last player to return to school after receiving NPOY honors.
Iowa had a Megan Gustafson win it last year.

as for MSU the refs will be out to protect Izzo just hoping that Iowa can keep it within 60 points and will have enough players left to play 5 on 5 till the end
Garza will have 2 fouls called him in less than 2 minutes of the 1st half gone.
Weezy will be so bruised and beat up he won't be able to come out of the locker room for the 2nd half. its not the score beat down that worries me it is the physical beating that the refs will allow, and if anybody on the Hawks even looks crossed eyed they will have a disqualifying Flagrant foul called them,
if Fran so much as stands he will get hit T's and thrown out of the game with no Iowa coach left on the bench because T's just for standing to call a T/O. the game is going to be that one sided.
