I'm indifferent. I think our window to take the next step is gone, and it will take a while for Dantonio or anyone else to get back there. I think he is kind of being a dbag lately, and made his own bed by not firing these bum ass assisistant coaches

This year is 1-0. New coach first year is 2-0. New coach second year is in AA that’s 3-0.
The final 2 games MAYBE they split if the new coach can turn the program around.
Even bad MSU teams get up for the UM game. Hell, even 2016, which was arguably Harbaugh’s best team and MSU went 3-9, was a close game right up until Peppers returned the 2 point conversion for a TD

Gillis can’t be ready if he is redshirting while Old Man River plays. That’s my only observation watching just a few minutes

I don’t think any reasonable person expected Gillis to be ready to play at this point. Think most of us normal people knew he’d not see a lot of time or even red shirt. Newman on the other hand....Winking
After 5 seasons, Harbaugh still doesnt have a signature win, win over OSU, or a trip to Indy.

Rivalry games are so unpredictable. Not to mention that Purdue could possibly be playing for a bowl berth. I do think Indiana is better. But, its a rivalry game...A huge rivalry game. So who knows.In no way, shape, or form do you ever admit your rival may beat you. Purdue is going to whoop that ass.

These are fun to revisit. No doubt. But at least include all the information. I highly doubt Purdue is 4-6, with the starters they have out, playing.. We are a PR injury away from having Tuttle as our starting QB. Imagine how that would change the dynamics? Tom Allen has done a very good job. He's building a program, with recruiting being very strong. I doubt there are many, if any IU fans that felt this team would be 7-2. I thought we had a change to be good...But not this good.
Yeah but don’t forget Purdue got beat by Nevada with pretty much full strength. Not sure we can assume anything about how things would have gone, even at full strength.
This is true. But....I don't think ONE season, defines anything. Lets string together multiple seasons, then we'll have a discussion.
Wisconsin is going to wax Purdue. I cringe just thinking about how outmanned Purdue will be in the trenches.
