I think the Purdue-Texas game will be ugly. Shaka normally has good defenses, plus they added Yaklich to the bench, and Purdue's offense appears to be a work in progress (especially since Sasha is most likely gonna miss this game).

nope because Connor is the starter in his game he had 3 points, 12 assists, 3 steals and 3 TO's for a 3.75 assist to 1 TO. going 1-1 from 3, in 22 minutes.

even Fredrick started out on fire going 18 points in 19 minutes, 4-5 from 3, 2-2 from 2 and 2-2 from the FTL

just the opposite reports are he is the best defender on the team, Toussaint brings that in your face defense, plus the athletic ability that has been missing these last few years as for defense, when Fran had Gesell and Woodbury the adj defense was at its best @ #30 to its worst at #45.
its not that Fran can't coach defense as its more about the players buying in and having the athletic ability to play defense,

Pretty bad from us last night for certain. We were up 13 or 15 with about 8 or 10 minutes left. Thought we were going to cruise to an 18 or 20 point win. They got hot from three (think they shot 35 3s!) and we were awful down the stretch. Not good.
Was impressed with Jarred Grasso as an HC. He spent 8 years under Cluess at Iona. I remember him as a player. Gosh I'm old!

-- Good: Proctor's game was easy to be excited about, but Hunter's play was really good to see for me. Looks really confident out there and had great pace to his game. Was able to facilitate and score the ball.
-- Bad: The front court depth behind Wheeler and Haarms. Tre didn't look particularly good (though he can turn that around), and Boudreaux is still painfully slow.
-- Ugly: Nojel being banged up, and Sasha already missing 1 game and likely more to come

I was totally indifferent to the chant either way. Thought it was funny how worked up people got on both sides of it. If a bunch of drunk college kids want to yell that their rival sucks, then so be it.
