OT Sorta Connor gets his 1st start in left field and goes 3-4 with 2 dbl and 1 single.
as Iowa sweeop a dbl header vs Cal State Fullerton. on a very cold evening in IC,
good start to his Baseball career,

Sounds like he should stick to baseball.

And Murray State over Marquette
Bet your savings on Iowa (+4) vs Cincinnati, then bet everything you own on Tennessee (doesn't matter) vs Iowa.
Cincinnati is 259th in the country in 3 point defense

MSU potentially plays Minny in Iowa and Maryland in DC.

Dafuq

And Duke. Lol.

Probably the worst draw I’ve seen in my lifetime. I’m biased because it’s MSU but I don’t understand why we have a guaranteed rematch in round 2, a likely rematch in the sweet 16, and then the #1 overall seed in the elite 8.

What did we do to the committee the last couple of years? Is it Nassar? ESPN report? Just sick of Izzo making runs in March?

We won the Big Ten. We won the Big Ten Tournament. We have the BTPOY. So strange.

At least when we won both in 2015 they had the decency to send us out west.

This is why I think the B1G tourney is worthless. It's never helped us. I think in 2015 we were out west regardless as the worst #1/best #2.

I heard the argument by the head of the committee saying that it’s all about location. I don’t care if it ends up being a 7 hr car ride vs a 8 hr car ride or a 1.5 hr flight or a 1 hr flight. It has no impact on our fan support.

What I care about is being rewarded or punished based on the merits of our team. Ya know, like winning the Big Ten, the Big Ten Tournament, things like that. The west is going to be weak year in, year out until the PAC gets its shit together if we just do this location bullshit.

They are overthinking this wayyyyy too much. Say MSU continues this ride and we’re playing well into the Elite 8. That then punishes Duke. Why punish Duke if you make them the #1 overall seed? Just doesn’t make sense.

And I don’t want to watch MSU play Louisville, Minnesota, or Maryland. I’ve already watched those games this year. I want to mix it up. And why out 6 of the 8 Big Ten teams in two regions? Stupid.

Lol so you can bitch about the unbalanced schedules even more.
never said anything about the unbalanced schedule. every team in the BT has to deal with it.

who knows 10 teams were predicted to go to the NCAAT and Iowa not one of them, maybe with the 18 game schedule the BT gets a couple more teams in and some don't get screwed over in the seedings.
Iowa seed is #10 but nobody that puts out their bracket's none of them had Iowa as a 10 seed, they were as high as a 7 seed and as low as a 9 seed and the rest had them as a 8 seed.

but its still far better than not being in.

screw you its in the rule book can't help the refs allow hacking, throwing of elbows or full contact. rule are the rules. you know what. if the refs actually called these games by the rules. by the end of the game 75% of the teams would not have enough players to finish the game.

Sounds like he should stick to baseball.
Perfect Game rated him a 10 and predicted he would have gone in the 1st 10 rounds where the big money is given, starting in the 6 figures, out of HS.

talk is he will be eligible for this year MLB draft and he might just go.

this was just his full year of playing BB his 1st year stats
19.0 mpg, 4.6 ppg, 49 rebounds, 98 assist 2nd on the team, 42 TO's, 22 steals and 3 blocks, shooting 35.8% from the field, 75.3% from the FTL. 5-27 from 3 28 games in and he was 1-12 he ended the season 4-15, not great but good enough to make play honest.

not to bad either, he also is a straight A+ student, don't know to many that can manage 2 sports and keep the Academic at the top.

who knows next season when Toussaint gets here Connor may play more of the 2 @ 6'5.

he has also been practicing with Baseball team for the last month and a half.

would love to see how you would do put into that position.

but the so called Hawk fans will scream for Fran to fired for not beating the #2 seed Tennessee.

after all the #2 seed has absolutely no right to beat either a 7 seed or 10 seed.
then these posters on here will rip Fran for not reaching the Sweet 16 AGAIN.

You keep saying this as if it matters.

Fran needs to win something. Your fans have every right to bitch about his mediocrity until he does.

Anyone who references MapQuest should immediately lose all credibility.

The point stands. Neither DC or Kansas City are close to Lansing and the committee thought it would help MSU more putting them in DC over KC even though that means putting them in Duke's region?

And putting Michigan their last 2 seed, against the last 1 seed?

Michigan won by losing, and MSU lost by winning. They went full ******.

Honestly, I know Zion is a beast but I'm not remotely convinced Duke is unbeatable. Did you know they shot 30.2% from three this year (328th nationally) and no team has ever reached the Final Four with a mark that low? UNC beat them handily twice (yes, without Zion) and Duke needed a tip in late to avoid losing all three to the Tar Heels.

Frankly, Va Tech with Justin Robinson scares me more than Duke and they just beat Duke a couple of weeks ago without Robinson so both teams were down a key player. Va Tech was 17-3 with Robinson (with the early inexplicable loss to PSU and then conference losses at UVA and UNC) and will get Robinson back for the tournament.

Also, of the three seeds MSU could be paired up with (so...not Purdue), LSU is by far the most questionable given that their season is imploding. Texas Tech is tough as nails and Houston is stout.

so you are saying NOBODY HAS THE RIGHT TO WIN and that Iowa should go 40-0 EVERY DAMN YEAR.

you are more delusional than those morons on Hawkeyereport and Hawkeyenation.

Iowa has only been to 3 FF's in their entire history, 8 shared or outright BT in their entire History,

Iowa didn't make the NCAAT till 1954-55 season when they made the FF finishing 3rd
then in the 55-56 season they made the FF and finished 2nd
they didnt reach the FF till lutes 6th season where they finished 4th.
Even in Miller last season when his team went undefeated in BT play and won the BT Championship, that team never made the sweet 16, these band wagon jumpers are to stupid to realize just how hard it is to reach the Sweet 16.

Iowa has never been a Highly rated recruits landing spot,

so you are demanding that all 8 BT reach the sweet 16? and 3 BT teams reach the FF. it would be 4 if there weren't 3 BT teams in one region.

If Turge gets his head out of his ass (not going to happen) you could be playing Maryland in DC snd then Duke in DC. Izzo should be furious.

You’re nuts. Duke is the one team nobody wants to play

I know reading comprehension is almost non-existent with you but...I’m saying if Fran was anything other than mediocre he’d have a sweet 16 by now. This has nothing to do with other B1G teams. It’s all about Iowa and their complete mediocrity.

I’m saying if Fran is worth a damn he’d get to a sweet 16 at least once in 9 years.

Right to win? Wtf is that crap?
that's exactly what you are saying
they got beat in the 2nd round by #2 seed Gonzaga
then the next season they got beat by #2 seed Villanova the eventual National champion

now this year they are a 10 seed and has to beat #7 seed Cincinnati then maybe #2 seed Tennessee. yeah by saying Iowa has to win = saying the other teams have NO RIGHT TO WIN.

no team has no right to win but the odds are in the favor of the top 4 seeds in each region the higher the seed the better the odds.

grow the F*** up.
