Extra 7 hours of development from Painter already showing

Oh man. So I phrased it slightly different.

Haarms isn't getting drafted. There. Another version of what I've said. If you think I'm wrong, man up and take a ban bet.

Why would someone make a ban bet on something with such variance? Why don't you think Haarms has a chance to get drafted?

What facts did you discuss when talking about Haarms? I think you’re confusing fact with opinion.
Several. He's not on any mock draft boards (that I've seen). He's not widely talked about as someone playing in the NBA. His age will likely work against him. And as it stands now, he's not good enough. He would have to drastically improve to get drafted.

They’re completely different type of players so they aren’t even really comparable really. That being said, Eastern had better conference numbers across the board in comparison to Phinissee albeit he’s a sophomore compared to a freshman. Phinissee is a good defender for his size but I’d still take Eastern on defense due to his size to go along with his ability. But yeah I think iu would still take Phinissee over Eastern due to the fact that he’s at least a threat from deep even if his percentages suck this season.
I should have clarified my response better....I fully expect Phinisee to be an elite PG before he graduates. Currently, Eastern is a better defender, but I think Phinisee will close the gap fairly quickly. I doubt that he will ever be a better defender, but he's going to be really good.

As you said, on offense is where the widest gap is. I don't believe Eastern is ever going to be a knock down shooter. You all know his strengths and weaknesses better then I do, but I do think that if he puts the work in he can become an
It’s probably 1 more than anything
So, are you saying that anyone who thinks it should be Romeo, is wrong?

This is an odd take on your part. You've said multiple times that either one you're fine with. But, according to this post, if someone says its Romeo....its because they're a homer.

They’re just so different as players. I think RP will always be a better shooter than Eastern as I think that will always be a weakness for Nojel. I also think RP will probably average more assists than Eastern moving forward. If you’re looking for a true point who can shoot and assist, RP is your guy. But I think the main difference lies with defense. RP is already a good defender but Nojel is much more versatile. You can stick him on Cassius one game and then Romeo the next. He can legit guard 1-4 which is a nice luxury to have. I think he’ll always be a much better rebounder than RP too. In terms of overall scoring? I could see it going either way. Wouldn’t surprise me if either outscored the other. For Purdue, they rarely have guys that average a ton of assists because of the motion offense. Eastern is a unique player with his size but I’m happy with him just like IU fans are happy with RP.

Nah just you

I don’t care if someone is posting from work, from their couch, from the shitter, from bar stool, from the golf course.... whatever. It takes 15 seconds to post something and probably less than that to read a full page of posts if you skip gilligan’s posts.

I’ve always thought that was a weird thing to “yikes”.

No one cares.

Haarms is just a SO and I NEVER read or heard anyone call him a 1 n done player. he is a 4 year development player. so some need to stop being fools and say he is not a NBA Player.

lets wait till after his SR season is done before making those type of comments,

his 7'2 height will get NBA peoples attention. like they say you CAN'T TEACH HEIGHT.

Shut up Gil. Go drink your prune juice.

That's basically where I'm at. I think Painter is in the same realm in many aspects as Izzo/Beilein. Recruiting just isn't one of them.

Beilein's player development has meant quite a bit of early NBA entrants. If those players stayed around for as long as most of Purdue's players, this isn't even a discussion. It's not really a discussion outside of Purdue slappies as it is. Izzo/Beilein are the tier 1 coaches in the conference. Painter can be on tier 2 by himself, sure.

no what it means that Beiliens players were better and didn't need that much developing.
Painter's players were not at the same level and needed to be developed.
