*Official* B1G In-Season Thread

27% of Ryan Cline's offense is spot up shooting according to Synergy (91 FGA). That's by far his biggest contribution.10% lower than that is hand-offs for 51 FGA. I'll dig deeper when I get home.
I’m missing something and apparently your use of a statistical website has granted you special powers of logical reasoning.

Your take - Cline only scores by spotting up.

Your stat- 27% of Cline’s scoring is from spotting up.

Leaves 73% of his scoring somewhere else.

I’d cut your lossses now and get somebody in there that can coach.
nah I want him to stick around. his top recruits in their JR year are just getting started, like some one posted on another site. PG Toussaint could be the missing piece, this was posted before ESPN gave him that 4th *.

rated the #1 PG in the state of NY and the #2 player in the state of NY, put the ranking aside and these are the eye catching post season statement
lock down defender
very very good dribble drive and dish.
these 2 items is what has been missing. Fran has recruited this type of PG but he has seen them choose another school with a higher profile
Ulis who ended up at Kentucky is the most recent,

as for his ranking that does not worry me as Trey Burke for Michigan was a 4* by ESPN and a 3* by Rivals,

this is the biggest complaint on both Hawkeye boards, that and this is always brought up " the team has to many WHITE PLAYERS" to have any type of SUCCESS.

cut the losses I doubt that. been there done that. run off the winningest coach and then went thru 11 years of BB in the teams history.

I am looking forward to the rest of this season then watch the 5 SR's, with one difference between the season when they had 4, the majority of that team were FR, with the majority leaving right after that season.

this season they return multiple player at different age's.

Damn dudes, was busy at work so couldn’t get on during the day. I jump in the thread and was 13 pages behind. Thought about catching up, but most of the immediate posts were Gil btching about the refs. Made it an easy decision to skip jail and head straight to go.

I’ve seen his highlights. I don’t think he’s going to help like you think he is.

I’m sure I can look it up but am too lazy...what is the reasoning for every form of basketball up to college, now including the college women’s game, and all after are quarters but the men’s college game is halves? What was the reasoning to have college games be halves in the first place?

which ones the one where he led his team to the NYC Championship and was named the Championship MVP

NY only has 2 division in the state right now his team is in the State playoffs. but then again he isn't going to Wisconsin so he has to be pure garbage.

anything to trash Fran and Iowa.

Garza is going thru that SO slump
Wieskamp has hit that FR wall
Connor suffered a concussion and has not recovered from it.

Toussaint gives Fran that 3rd PG that even Fran stated that was needed. plus he brings that NYC Toughness. and quickness on defense and handling the BB.

75% of his attempts are from the 3 point line. His spot up shooting and screen open shooting are far and away the bulk of his attempts. Over half of his points come from those 2 categories. That's a 1-d player.

The rest of the categories are much smaller percentages. Less than 17%. Again, the footprint of a spot up shooter.

A few reasons i"d suspect. Money being one...At one time in the early 50's, games were 4/10 minute quarters. Lasted a few years. I know its been discussed at rule interp. meetings. As an official, I wouldn't care either way. SOme coaches feel there would be to many breaks, timeouts, etc, etc...

I just think its a tradition thing. Plus the only reason in the NBA is quarters is b/c the BAA felt playing quarters made the fans feel as if they etting more bang for their buck. In other words, a marketing ploy.
Sometings just are what they are. I mean, why is baseball 9 innings----Not 8 or 10?

Lol at Garza is going thru a SO slump. Wtf is that?
its something has been referred to for decades. its where they have a good to great FR season they do not do as good,

last season Garza led the team in blocks with 32 this season he has 15 blocks. his rebounding is down to 4.6 rpg from 6.4 rpg both major drops in his production.

shooting last season 55.7% from the field to 51.9%, 34.8% from 3 to 29.5% from 3.

so yeah the SO slump fits in this case part of this is the Fact that 7'0 Nunge is out this season.
Nunge was also 2nd on the team in blocks with 25
Pemsl was 3rd in rebounds with 144 total
both tied for 5th on the team in scoring. they both will be back for the 19-20 season.

RollLaugh You call it a sophmore slump. Everybody else calls it the league figuring them out.

White went thru it and yet he ended up 1st Team All BT has a SR, yeah the really figured him out. there are far more examples from other teams. but keep telling yourself that they have him figured out.

Purdue is going to deep dick NW by 15, hammer that Purdue -6.5 line if you like money.
