I don't think either B1G that lost today should be concerned about these losses. In the grand scheme of things they won't matter much and they are good tests.
Purdue had won two preseason tournaments in the prior three years. Two questions...
Was it a championship game? Was Matt Painter the coach of Purdue?
I have one guess on who won
Worst I can remember since the Oklahoma Blake Griffin game.Broootal refs that last game but had a good time nonetheless. Encouraged by what I saw this weekend. Gonna be a fun team to watch.
As easy as a one-foot tip-in?After 14 years its too easy

That’s a really weak troll attempt.
Well, Purdue missed way too many point blank layups too, definitely enough to have won.As easy as a one-foot tip-in?
Someone just called another poster a “old piss ass weasel dick” on the home board. So they’re taking it really well.
I'm not sure I'm ready to say Purdue or IU are ahead of MSU at this point.
Both look good, but so has MSU
Yup. 0 points and just 2 boards. HUGE game.Feels like a huge game from HAARMS incoming. His size too much for Va Tech to deal with.
So has OSU...So has Iowa. Man is the Big 10 shaping up to be a war.I'm not sure I'm ready to say Purdue or IU are ahead of MSU at this point.

"Painter can't win games with a title on the line"Congrats?
I'd probably go
Michigan
Michigan St.
Nebraska
Indiana
Purdue
I like Nebraska. Their depth though scares me. And OSU has looked sharp. So has Iowa.I'd probably go

"He's won two in the past three years in similar title games."
"So what?"
C'mon. Take your L like the gentleman you are.
No. Iowa's zone will get exposed in the Big 10. And against better teams. Oregon and Uconn aren't that good. Oregon cannot shoot. There were plenty of holes in Iowa's zone. A ton. Just wasn't exploited. Teams like Michigan, MSU, Purdue and IU will destroy that defense. Iowa's defense isn't that much better. They basically camo it by slowing the pace down..LaughingIowa

13 goddamn turnovers in the first half. We should have a 20+ point lead, but are playing way to sloppy.
Agree. Personally my thoughts on IU didn't change. If anything, maybe a little stronger. Tough atmsophere. Down a few a players. Two starters in early foul trouble. Yet we hung in there. Fell behind by 10. Battled back. Had a great chance to win.I don't think either B1G that lost today should be concerned about these losses. In the grand scheme of things they won't matter much and they are good tests.

Not to be cheesy but holy shit is that GIF elite. Stealing that one for sure.

Correct. My terminology error.Pre conference?
Those games count right? So they’re not pre season?
Tough loss but liked the way they played. Some pretty awful officiating didn’t help either.
I think Carsen was a little gassed, and Cline was a little over-matched. Didn't help that Haarms chose to have arguably his worst game in a Purdue uniform, and that Nojel got in foul trouble. That foul trouble took our best defender (and one of the league's best) out of the game, and just as importantly made it really difficult to take Carsen off the floor to get him a much needed breather.Carsen obviously a boss on offense, but he wasn't very good on defense last night. Similar for Cline. The opposing guards were getting to the hoop at will the last 5-10 minutes of the game.
Expending too much energy on offense?
Defense was a complete abomination in the second half. Haarms was awful. Carsen tried to do too much at times but I can't really blame the guy. Refs sucked, missed two critical calls that cost us 5 points. We are going to lose several games here in the next couple weeks. Schedule is brutal.Carsen obviously a boss on offense, but he wasn't very good on defense last night. Similar for Cline.
