Will seeding go strictly off NET or will there be committee and pod influence?

No, it just replaces the RPI as the one metric the tourney committee uses to HELP it decide things. Replaces the shitty RPI but there are questions if it will be any better them RPI.
I'm guessing it will be better than RPI by season's end. It's still a little wonky but miles better than when it was initially released. They should wait to release it until 1/1 each year.

It is not miles better than first released. It just has quite a bit more data points. I don't disagree though with waiting until January 1 each year. There are too many people in society who don't understand numbers and couldn't quite figure out how Ohio State was number one in the first release and unfairly loses credibility due to mass idiots.

NET will be better than Kenpom or RPI come March...

I believe @boilerzz point is that it's miles better with more data points included (and he's not wrong).

In its first year, I don’t think NET will be better than Kenpom come March.

Probably RPI. It sucks.

Seeing Thomas Bryant excel as a NBA player while Caleb Swanigan gets designated to the G League makes me laugh at Purdue fans. Man the shit talking about Thomas.

Note: I hope Caleb finds a place and exceeds, because his story is already a great success from the gutter but he deserves more.
Does he still whine like a little b!tch when the officials call him for a foul or turnover, while simultaneously making making a face like he is constipated? That was always the worst part of his game.

That’s fair. I never had a problem with Bryant’s game it was always his antics. He is/was a good player.
Amazing Crean couldn't even make the tournament with that team. OG, Bryant, Juwan, Blackmon, Green, Jones, Davis, ect...

Hell they beat Kansas and North Carolina in the preseason, they just fell apart.

Wasn’t Kansas the game Curtis Jones went off?

Yeah Blackmon and Bryant did as well. Soo much wasted talent.

It’s amazing how much Tom Crean has the press in his sac. Everyone was out defending Crean saying IU was nuts for firing him. Looking at Alford, who was fired mid season, all are saying it was the right thing to do.

To be fair Crean took over a program in a much tougher place and had a bit more success in a tougher conference. He did win 2 conference titles which I've never cared much about but a lot of people do. He just never had the success in the tournament that we all expect and he was rightfully fired.

I also think IU is a better job because of the home court advantage and the talent that grows up here. That being said I don't think UCLA should have fired Howland, he was a good coach that won a lot of games and I think their expectations are ridiculous based in where they are currently at as a program.

It was just so inconsistent with him and he always had talent but couldn’t coach them up.

Couldn't teach defense and taking care of the ball, you will never be consistent coaching that way and I'm glad he's gone.

I will always be thankful of the job Crean did. I am glad he's gone. But I wish him well. Dude took over a train wreck, and made the program respectable. He just wasn't the guy.

Its because of the situations. Crean took over a depleted, and once proud program, and got it back to respectability. Won 2 Big 10 titles...3 SW 16's...And had a Top ranked, # 1 seeded team. From where it was when he got there, to where he took it, to the media, that seemed alright. And that would have been at say, a Minnesota, Northwestern. But not at a program such as IU. Total opposite for Alford. he faced no such issues at UCLA. had Crean taken over an IU program not in shambles, the media would've seen his firing totally different.

Crean was given 9 years. It wasn’t like they fired him after year 5 after the issues he faced.

He was given 6 more years after the shambles. Crean still has the media in his pocket. It’s a media loves Crean thing for some reason. He just that lovable loser I guess.

Oh, I'm not disagreeing. Just pointing out the situations were different. Crean always found a way to get in how IU was before he got there. That seemingly stuck in the minds of media.

Alford was fired because of the Boosters over bloated demands because of what Wooden accomplished. at UCLA its FF's or the coach is a failure and needs to be replaced.

Crean was fired for the same reason. Indiana demands FF or its fire the coach.

too many times fans have higher expectations with out considering what is happening around them.

Did Crean ever buy his players. I doubt he did, with what just came out it is almost impossible to compete against cheaters.

even now the Fair weather Iowa fans are so hateful of the players and coaches its disgusting. this year this was written about how much better the defense is vs last season in the most important stat.
they are giving up 9 ppg less. not sure how to read Kenpom but their adj d is 99.4 this vs last season when it was 242 if I read that right.

and they complain about Iowa guards being to slow to guard the opposing teams guards. Iowa has all season has been playing far superior and athletic guards in the OOC season and yet Iowa just went 11-0. the last time they did that was in Dr. Tom's 1st season over 30's years ago,

but they too feel it is their right to have FF's on a yearly basis. if they don't get what they feel is their Gods given right too. its fire the coach time.

times are changing and poeple need to get used to it.

Nothing wrong with expecting more than being in the tournament just 4 times and more than a sweet sixteen in 9 years. Indiana isn’t Iowa and get excited for top half B1G finishes.

expecting is one thing but Firing a coach that led the team to 2 BT Championship is unreasonable.
