If I had a dollar for every reference you made to the Purdue free board I’d have enough to enjoy a nice evening out with the Mrs. Sure there are stupid things said on there but I could easily go find equally stupid things on the iu basketball/football board. Why do you care so much about what’s said on there?
Going out on a limb here with a guess to your question..he’s a candy striped dickhead?

You bring up the Purdue free board all the time. Sure there are stupid things said on there but I could easily go find equally stupid things on the iu basketball/football board. Why do you care so much about what’s said on there?
Some of your posters aren't bad, but there are a few that are the biggest homers of all time. Mkgcbb should never be taken seriously and there are a few others that stick out.

He’s like JohnHoosier. Why anyone takes him seriously is beyond me.

My favorite was the dumbass that said IU hasn't beaten anyone. I think it was proudopete. IU has 5 wins from the top 50 of Kenpom. That's tops in the conference. They also have a blowout win over #18 Marquette.

It's like they literally just make shit up to make themselves feel better. Can't wait to beat them in a couple of weeks.

How many over kenpom top 25

I didn't say we had beaten any kenpom top 25 teams, I said we had 5 top 50 wins and that's true.

The committee looks at those as quad 1 wins for tournament seeding, and that's all I care about.

Well you said kenpom top 50 and then AP top 25. Just wondering how many kenpom top 25.

Btw, if your point was to cite quadrant 1 wins then Michigan has more (4) than Indiana (3) going by kenpom ranks. Idk where to find NET ranks.

Talking quad wins are useless right now as it depends on where the team finishes.

I thought it was at the time, so right now these stats mean nothing.

We have 4 going by Net Rankings. At home against Marquette and Louisville, neutral against Butler, and on the road at Penn State.

He's right though It's too early for this to matter.

Link me to where you see NET rankings

Too early to matter but that doesn’t mean we can’t talk about it. Do we have to wait until the end of the year to talk about good wins, possible seeding, etc. because nothing matters until the end of the season rankings are out? That’d make for a pretty boring forum.

Cannot wait for those MSU-UM games this season. Will be some really good basketball. MSU top 5 offensively, top 25 defensively. UM top 5 defensively, top 25 offensively.

Sucks that the first one is late February.

I can't link it on my phone but all I did was google net rankings and it was right at the top. I think Michigan has 4 as well. At Villanova, Providence, and Northwestern, and at home against UNC.

Michigan sweep 30%
Split 50%
MSU sweep 20%

I found it, thanks. Crazy how far off NET and Kenpom are right now. I think kenpom’s adjustment is a lot more realistic at this point just by seeing how many lame mid majors are ranked high in NET.

I agree. Right now I’d say those odds are very accurate.

I really like the way this MSU team plays this year, and I really think Michigan is a great team. One of these two will win the Big Ten.

Kenpom is more based on advanced stats and predicting what could happen in the future. NET is more based on actual results and what has happened.

Two best teams in the conference at this point no question. Would be an interesting matchup.

Isn’t this NET’s first year? I’ll take Kenpom as a more accurate ranking right now.

“Meh.... I’m not sure we can say they are the two best teams for sure. Good teams—— yeah, but there are other good teams. Indiana beat an underrated Jacksonville team today and looked good doing it. Would I take Michigan or MSU over Indiana right now? Meh... maybe. But this Indiana team is growing up fast. I like our odds.” - IUfanBorden

Yeah but no rankings should have that many mid majors that high. I’m guessing they will revert to the mean as more data rolls in.
Yeah once the high majors get into conference play. They will have a higher strength of schedule and more opportunities for quality wins. That I would think would start to bump some of those teams down some.

Underrated? lol wasn't Jacksonville a .500 team?

Lol yea Jacksonville certainly wasnt underrated. We should be hanging our hat on 5 top 50 wins, not wins against Jacksonville lol.

I was just trying to sound like Borden
Oh I thought it was something he actually said lol either way we aren't on the level of Michigan or MSU right now. Too many injuries and still a lot of holes. I do think we're in that 2nd tier though around the 4th spot. That would be a good goal with this team.
