Thought we’d have better three point shooting than has shown so far.
Once Edwards is gone next year, Purdue is in trouble.
Kind of lost out on any chances of a decent non conf win. They should end up 8-5 before conf play starts up again.
Do they need to win at least 12 B1G games, including a couple of upsets, to make the ncaa tournament?
Who wins in a vertical leap contest between Williams, Deron Davis, and Billy Packer?
So you’re saying if Painter misses the tournament 2 years in a row he wouldn’t be fired? That’d be ridiculous.
Understandable considering you lost four starters last year.
Should’ve been a great selling point to freshmen recruits with all that playing time available but Painter couldn’t close.
Yep, they have a good class coming in too. Anyone that thought Purdue wasn't going to miss a beat is likely a complete homer. They will be just fine long term.
Not sure it’s so much Painter as it is your program. I dont mean that in a bad way, but the school is great, West Laffy sucks bad, and your program isn’t “sexy” to recruits.
I mean, if it was a huge draw (playing time for freshman), y’all didn’t get a sniff from Langford and not much from Phinese. It’s something other than Painter and playing time.
He's actually not bad. Makes the hustle plays. Gets important rebounds and put backs. He's no worse than Haarms.
Wheeler and Williams need more PT
It’s not a Purdue thing as much as it’s a Painter thing. Look at what Brohm is doing. He’s making Purdue a very attractive option and making Purdue “cool.” A good recruiter can overcome limitations.

If we could combine Eifert's energy/effort with Wheeler's talent, we'd have one hell of a player. As is, we have 2 incomplete players.
Virginia has been farther in the tourney than Purdue since 2000. It's okay call him out on it, he won't mind. Tony Bennett is a terrific coach and one of my favorite coaches in the entire country.
