What's the order of coaches on the hot seat in the B1G?
Chambers
Turgeon
Frannie
Miles
Pitino
Underwood

Collins
Pikiell

Painter
Gard
Miller
Izzo
Holtman
Beilein

Just off the top of my head. Any of those first 6 places a landing spot for Hoiberg? I would think Maryland would be a hot job even with the ugliness surround the program right now. If Louisville looks like they're going to get a slap on the wrist, Maryland should be fine right? Does anyone think PSU could be a decent job?

The only thing that is going to save Turge’s job if he doesn’t make the tournament this year is that Maryland doesn’t want to be paying for two buyouts in a calendar year.

Yet, he's skilled enough to be your best player. He's averaging 18, 11, and 5, and you're trying to diminish the impact that losing him is going to have. I'd be nervous about losing him too.
I read this post and then immediately went looking to see if he had gotten hurt.

Sure, but he does other things so well that it doesn't matter. Reuvers doesn't rebound on either end. Ford barely does either. Reuvers is a big drop off on the defensive end as well.

Happ is responsible for over 1/4 of your points.
If you average 15, you're 25% of Wisconsin's offense. That puts Happ in the same group as Kaminski, Butch, Leuer, Tucker, and everyone else that played in the post for Bo.

In some respects, he's been a bit of a hindrance to the offense. His inability to shoot from anywhere near the perimeter has caused pretty much eliminated the swing offense and forced Wisconsin to become more of a pick and roll offense. Nobody has to come out of the post to defend Happ because they know he won't shoot from outside. Keeps the guards from posting up.

That’s on your coach.

You guys got a really good coach. Play of the game was the technical he got. Completely changed the game. Stopped our momentum and reset the refereeing from that point on. He's going to keep you guys at the top of the conference.

Game was called the same way the whole night IMO.... Bad both ways!!

I urged MSU fans to take my approach—assume any recruit K wants is going to Duke until he retires.

Also people who are on pins and needles over a recruit need a life. I follow recruiting but I didn’t carve out time at work to watch the hat and dance routine.

So, uhh, big game tonight between Purdue and Maryland. Will be bitter loss for losing team.

Keeping Maryland's bigs off the offensive glass and making sure Haarms and Brian Cardinal, Jr. aren't in foul trouble will be keys for Purdue, IMO.

Cowan and Edwards should be an entertaining matchup. But based on Painter's comments this week, we may be seeing a little more off-the-ball action by CE. He definitely needs to scale back the forced jumpers and drives into traffic, so this should be interesting to keep an eye on.

Happ being a hinderence is on the coach. He’s not the first post player to not be able to shoot outside and Happ has been around for 5 years. Plenty of time to get an offense around him.

Have to take the good with the bad with Happ. He's an imperfect post for the type of offense we typically run. We run into the most problems with Iverson on the floor with him. Surround Happ with 4 shooters and it's much better. Reuvers is a more typical post. Inside/outside. That will come next year more than it is this year. In the last 20 years, Happ is about the only post I can think of that can't shoot.

They are loaded with talent though, I haven't watched much Maryland, how are you guys looking?

Disappointed Wheeler isn’t getting the start tonight. Thought he deserved it as he was the lone bright spot @ UM.

Honestly when I said that I wasn’t even thinking but it’s sort of like Simpson’s shooting for us.

Has Eiffert struggled that bad? I mean I know your fanbase has been really hard on him.
His last 2 games have been brutal IMO. Playing scared/not looking to score. Out of position on D and not athletic enough to hang with the guys he’s been guarding. I don’t know if Wheeler is ready to handle the load but I’m ready to see Purdue throw him to the fire and see how he performs.

Yeah I know he played well the other night against Michigan. It just seems Painter (as most coaches do) just seems to trust his more experienced guys. Good luck tonight.

I definitely agree 100% with this

I’m also surprised hunter is struggling so much. I knew he’d have to adjust some, but figured he would provide some great minutes off fhe bench and average 5ish ppg with decent efficiency.
