But he's got that white trash skinny kid trying too hard at open gym look to him.

Is Edey getting a lot of slack on being physical or is it just the reigning NPOY getting what he's due?

That's what will happen when you shoot a very high percentage from the floor and make 14 three pointers.
That was quite a show you put on on the IU home site last night and this morning. What did you have 40 posts. You took quite an ass whoop’n.

One suggestion though

You may want to acquire a rule book and familiarize yourself with some of the fundamentals being discussed when you start running your mouth on a site packed with people who have forgotten more about the game than you will ever know

Good luck.

He’s getting a better whistle than last year and northwestern is a good example of that. Their gameplan is to just hack bigs and they got away with it last year against both TJD and Edey. Nicholson is probably the biggest hack in the league, and that Hunger guy comes in and just hacks too.

Hell yesterday northwestern hook and held edey all the way to floor and didn’t even get a common foul called on them.

I was rooting for northwestern to beat Illinois and I still couldn’t believe how much they were getting away with. They just muck up games. And then to their credit, they make clutch plays when it matters.

16?

That’s it? I mean throw it up high where only Edey can get it,,,Edey turns and forearms or hooks the defender to the ground…dunks it and goes to the line for an and 1. (And1 is a slang term used to describe the scorer getting a a FT.)

My mother could get 16 of those.

Wait, he was on the IU home board?

As a side note, Nicholson and Fletcher played on the same Michigan high school team.

Only 6 of those assists were to Edey, so.....

Wait, he was on the IU home board?
stormed it after his own game and vomited all over it until the wee hours and then came back first thing for more

Got demolished by the locals.

Some of the Boilies were banned after the last storming but apparently 03 made it through that septic pumping. I hope they keep him on for entertainment purposes.

I heard the F you Edey as well. I was there with my brother and niece and we all commented on it after the game.
lol so two of the 30 (at best) pu fans at that game are right here?

And both heard vulgar chants that no one else heard?

Gotcha

Now imagine if NW got to shoot any..

46-8?
😂😱
They don’t shoot that many free throws on average. When they take a lot of 3’s and midrange jumpers, they won’t have as many chances to shoot free throws. Collins talked about having his 3 bigs for 15 fouls and then goes ballistic when their hacking gets called haha.

Northwestern is:
  • 323rd in the country in fouls/possession
  • 281st in opponent free throws attempted/game
  • 320th in free throws attempted/game
  • 18/66 shots at the rim last night (27%)
Purdue is:
  • 9th in the country in fouls/possession
  • 9th in opponent free throws attempted/game
  • 9th in free throws attempted/game
  • 24/57 shots at the rim last night (42%)

I remember several of their shots at the rim that were wide open too (I’m thinking of two layups in OT) I believe. One of them Barnhizer lost a shoe and they still got a wide open layup playing 4-on-5 lol.

Yeah, we definitely struggled defensively. Their scheme seems to give us troubles. And 52% from three on high volume doesn't help.

Love Braden, but he's gotten carved up pretty good by Northwestern both games this year. He's obviously not our only issue defensively, but him struggling on Langborg/Berry makes things tough since Buie is so good regardless of who's on him.

I know Purdue and Wisconsin are both much better offensive teams than defensive teams, and don't really look like the stereotype of what you think of historically with these programs (slow boring offense and really good defense)...but I just have trouble imaging it not being played in the 60s.

I'm worried about how we defend Storr though.

Crazy thing is he's 1.8pf/game this year vs 1.6 last. I feel like he's been more aggressive this year so maybe that combined with a little more friendly whistle explains the only .2 increase.

Just leave him wide open. I'm sure it'll be fine.

Wasn't crazy when it was TJD though.

I’ll pass after watching what he did to MSU shooting the ball. Dude can play.
He likes playing against MSU. He's one of the least efficient guys we have on offense. Think only Chucky and Connor are worse. But he can do things no one else can on the team. He'll throw up some questionable shots each game but has gotten better at that from the start of the year. Just don't bring Courtney Green w/ you on Sunday.

A year or two ago, Purdue went a stretch of like 17 straight games with Courtney Green on the whistle that Purdue failed to cover the spread. Definitely no love lost with Purdue fans and that guy.

I think you need that guy that can go outside of the offense and just get a bucket, considering all of the skill and solid play Wisconsin has around him. Sure, it comes with some negatives, but he has certainly appeared to change your offense in a big way.

We don’t have a guy in our starting lineup that can hang with him at all, so it’ll be interesting to see.

Agreed 100%. Definitely missed that last year. This year we have Storr and Blackwell has been pretty good at getting to the rim and finishing as well. Storr can have a loose handle at times so it's always a little dicey when he drives but if he's got an opening, he'll dunk on your head.

No I'm saying it's crazy he's been called for more this year when it seems he hasn't. I think it's cause of what I said above, he's being more aggressive but just like the hack a teams they can't call them all. Just a nature is the game. TJD benefited from the same Sr whistle.

He's definitely contesting more shots this year but he's also really improved his footwork.

It doesn't help that Smith is 5'10.

Part of the game plan was to have Morton slow down Buie. When I watched, I thought he did a pretty good job in the first half.
