You’re being way too sane here Borden 😉
I get cute here and there----banter over silly shit. But at the end of the day, it is what it is. I like to "troll" here and there---most of us do. But when talking legit hoops, you gotta keep it real. I dislike Purdue as much as the next IU fan...Hope ya'll lose every fukin game---But respect is respect. I respect ya'lls program. And the bottom line is simple:

1. Stef would 100% start at Indiana. MOF, a guy like him would make Indiana very good---immediately.
2. Ivey is not only a 1st team B10 guy, he's a legit POY(B10) candidate...And possibly 1st team AA. Kid is electric.
3. I don't think Trevion is better than TJD, now. I don't get why Trvion is not starting over Furst. Its crazy.

And as I have saids---I think IU is a legit Top 5'ish/SW 16 type of team. Purdue is a legit FF contender. Not gonna run into many teams that match them size wise---but there are some teams that can throw some big dudes out there. I think they'll struggle with teams that can pull their bigs away---like Nova.

I 100% believe, win or lose, this rivlalry(IU/PU) is about to go up about 10 notches. In years past, Indiana just hasn't matched Purdue's toughness...I don't think thats gonna be an issue moving forward.

No free throws at all in the first half for either team at half? Da fuq?
Good, solid defense for the most part. Both teams are fundamentally sound defensively. And its shows. Plus, this crew is one of the better crews in CBB.

Okay, I have to ask. What’s with the fücktards in the joke blazers at Purdue games?

Illinois is better than us too

JMO
I dont know about that. Even though we shit the bed last week, I still think that we are a top 3 team, but Purdue has definitely separated themselves from us 2 early on. Lots of games left though.

In before IU fans claim that Painter would’ve already been fired at IU for his results.
I think it is a lot harder to recruit and win at Purdue. IU would have had a title in Painter's tenure if he started coaching there instead of Purdue.

I mean to an exent, its a legit argument....Hindsight is 20/20---Of course where IU has went since firing Knight has been , well----not good ANd what Painter has done since has certainly been better, more consistent...... Painter has gotten better and better as a coach, no doubt. BUT its not like he's put up crazy numbers----3 Big 10 titles in 17 seasons...Only 1 trip past the SW 16... 5 overall(SW16's). I like Matt. Good coach. He has a really, really good team this year. But he's also coming off 16-15/18-10 seaasons as well. PLus had back to back losing seasons(2013/2014).

Its easy to say IU wouldn't be what they are with Matt, when IU has been a dumpster fire. But its not that easy...Would I take Painters results , over Indiana's, since he's been at Purdue? Sure. Just not sure if he would have survived a stretch of 15-17, 16-18 and 21-13....Maybe does.

Either way---It's irrelevant. I like who IU has. I like Painter.

So glad we didn't schedule a bunch of cupcakes in our non-conference @hailtoyourvictor

And I wish we had 😂. Purdue and Michigan are two examples of teams that could benefit from differing OOC schedules. Purdue returned a lot of rotation/minutes. Michigan is trying to figure out their rotation because 4 of our top 8 players weren’t on the roster last year. We could use some more cupcakes to get a rotation/rhythm. Different strokes for different folks.

IU would have a title, maybe two, had KS been able to keep his shot together.

Not so sure its harder to recruit at Purdue....I mean, he's gotten his share of studs.

IMO, coaches when titles---not programs. Painter at Indiana would probably have netted the same results, as he would have probably recruited as he has----to his system. Its why he's been so consistent---recruits to his strength, and isn't influenced to go and chase guys that don't fit what he wants to do.

Pretty good rebuttal. Nothing of course can be proven one way or the other, but makes for good bar talk.

No way you can honestly say you’re not so sure it’s harder to recruit at Purdue than IU. Take the homer goggles off haha. Archie was a bum and still got 3 5* guys.

I said, 'Not so sure"---Meaning, its possible. But its not like Painter hasn't gotten his share of studs. I just simply think Matt recruits dirrerent, and would recruit how he does, no matter where he was.

You literally lost to a non-power 5 unranked team, so your strategy isn't really working 😂 but luckily for you, Arizona and UNC give your team a chance for a big win and to get battle tested.

Seton Hall isn’t a cupcake and their defense certainly isn’t one you’d like to be figuring out your guard rotation against.
