That was a comically bad foul call on IT. Old ref is struggling both ways.

Archie came down to the final 2 for Garcia, RJ Davis, and Caleb Love… he might still have a job if he could close.

MSU up 18 at halftime. Bingham has 14/8 and 2 blocks. He’s been pretty damn good this year.

That 9-0 run by Purdue after UNC tied it up was one of the more electric sequences I’ve seen in the young season. That team has some holes, but they’re going to be a tough out in March
Defense is still a question mark, but if we can outscore teams, not sure how much it will matter. Ivey can be an enigma at times, but he seems to show up when the lights are brightest. A lot of season left but aside from the Providence secret scrimmage, I think this team is built to make a deep run. IU looks improved as well. Should be a good two game series between us this year.

Didn't Trojan and someone gave a ban bet for Purdue losing at least one game today?

Ivey seems to be reliant on instincts at this point but that’s not necessarily a bad thing because his instincts are pretty strong. I think he very easily could’ve picked up charges on the second and third possessions of the aforementioned 9-0 run but he did a terrific job of slowing up/changing his trajectory such that he didn’t bowl over the defender. I think there will be a decent amount of instances in where he does pick up offensive fouls, but you just have to take the bad with the good. He’s pretty clearly a net positive for the team even when he’s playing out of control.

I’m cautiously optimistic IU will be better. They have a roughly top 30 roster in the nation, but talent wasn’t really the issue in the archie era. I’m hoping players like bates, kopp, and Stewart act as calming forces to a team that struggled focusing for 40 minutes and didn’t know how to overcome hurdles. We still saw them blow a lead against a decent St. John’s team, but I’ll take solace in their ability to respond, albeit in a small sample. They’re still going to have to learn how to win tough games, but this unit seems at least a little more equipped to do that.

Hot? Yeah I agree - He’s a 40% 3pt for his career. 2/1 ATO and 2rpg. Obviously couldn’t start for IU. 😂
And when he isn’t on from 3, he isn’t really that big of a contributor. Btw, do you have a link to where I said he wouldn’t start at IU?

That’s a condom problem - Sasha contributes in ways that don’t show in a box score. But gimme a break - he’s 40+ in his career. Over 50% this year. 2.0 ATO. 2rpg. Wtf? You play stupid but you can’t be that stupid.
